Core product updates
New look and feel for Linker questions
Based on user feedback, we’ve tweaked the functionality and updated the look and feel of our Linker questions. Instead of having to rearrange the items in a list, Learners will now connect the dot between matching items.
Sending reminders to team via the Manager Dashboard
Managers can now send reminders about outstanding training to their team members straight from the Manager Dashboard. You can select which learners the notification will go to and customize the message.
- In the left sidebar, click
Dashboard
- Click
MANAGEES
>My team
- In the top right panel, click
Send reminder
(bell icon) next to the training you want to send a reminder for - Select the learners you want to contact
- Click
NEXT
- Click
Email
- Customize your message
- Click
SEND
Tracking classroom fill rate
To enable instructors to quickly review the fill rate of their classrooms, we’ve added new columns to the classroom dashboard:
- Learners: Shows the number of learners in a classroom.
- Fill rate: Shows percentage of spots filled for classroom slots with a max capacity set.
Improved the performances of the groups statistics (but fewer sorting options)
We improved the loading time of the section Results and statistics
of a group. This comes at the cost of no longer being able to sort the section Learners
by Time Spent
and Last Activity
(you can no longer click on the column headers).
You can still access those two items in exports:
-
Time spent
can be retrieved (and filtered/ordered) in user exports, course exports, program session exports and path session exports. -
Last activity
can be retrieved (and filtered/ordered) in user exports.
Improved the general data export
-
Strengthened logic for large exports: We revamped the logic behind our general data export. Clicking
RECEIVE BY EMAIL
will take a little longer to generate however, it will no longer crash for huge files. -
Easier access to general data export: We added access to the general data export to the Dashboard navigation panel. From your homepage sidebar, click
Dashboard
. TheEXPORT
button is now at the bottom left of the sidebar. - Added date filter to more export granularities: Enabled filtering by date within running the general data export by classroom.
Learning Needs displayed on the homepage
We added a couple of new sections to the homepage for easy access to Learning Needs:
- Learning Needs section: We added a new section specifically for Learning Needs on the platform homepage. Groups with at least one Learning Need created will also have this section on their group homepage.
- New training items section: New Learning Needs will now also pop up alongside courses, program sessions, and path sessions in the New training items section.
NOTE: For details. Check out our access content from the homepage article.
New role: Project Lead
We added a new role in the Project squad: Project Lead.
The Project Lead is a squad member who can add or remove members squad (a permission so far restricted to the administrators of the group linked to the Project).
See how to add, edit or remove a Project Lead in Edit a Project.
Filling attendance temporarily disabled
We temporarily disabled the possibility to fill learners’ attendance in a Classroom from the menu Dashboard
> CLASSROOMS
. We are working on reintroducing it in a better form (more on that soon).
Platforms with the Live Training Solution can still force the legacy version by clicking OPEN CHECK-IN
, then checking Absent
/Present
on the right of the learners’ name.
Navigation & design updates
- We redesigned the interface of the steps editor in a path, to make them clearer, and more consistent with the program template editor.
- We added the standard authoring tool features to the header of the path editor. From the path editor, you can now:
- Go back to the list of paths by clicking
<
on the top left - See the title of the path in the header, instead of the top section
- Access the path statistics by clicking
Results and statistics
on the top right - Play the path by clicking
Play
on the top right - Delete the path by clicking
...
>Delete
on the top right.
- Go back to the list of paths by clicking
- When playing a course, hovering on the list of activities on the left now shows the titles of all activities (even the ones that haven’t been played yet), instead of just bullet points.
- Group administrators can now see the list of all custom fields (but not edit them, nor delete them) by going in their group settings, then click
Keywords
>User Custom Fields
- We slightly changed the appearance of tables loading in the Dashboard (this instead of that).
- To be consistent with the term in Dashboard, we added a "Beta" before
PATH
when clicking+
from the homepage. - We tweaked the homepage sidebar to improve group visibility (smaller font, less spacing, scroll across the whole sidebar, wider sidebar).
Integration updates
Universal provisioning connector
Sync data between 360Learning and your other tools easier than ever with our user provisioning connector. The connector allows systems to sync data through our SFTP server.
- We used this connector to build integrations specifically for Hibob, Foederis, and Workday.
- You can also use the connector for any unlisted system that can export a CSV file to an SFTP or FTPS server.
NOTE: Go here to view the setup guide. Interested in the user provision connector? Contact your Account Manager for more information
API updates
We’re adding four new routes.
-
GET
getUsersNeedingRegistrationToClassroom, to get the list of learners (ID) who are not registered yet for any classroom in a given program session. -
PUT
addUsersToClassroomslot, to add users to a Classroom slot. -
DEL
removeUsersFromClassroomslot, to remove users from a Classroom slot. -
GET
getPathUsers, to get the list of learners (ID) enrolled in any session of a given path.
And we’re updating one existing route.
-
PUT
addToGroupCatalog can now add path sessions to the Catalog of a group (on top of program sessions and courses). Give it an array of path session IDs, and voilà.
Solution: Live Training
New classroom check-in page for learners
We added a new check-in page for classroom slots. The new page collects the learner’s electronic signature for the classroom attendance sheet.

Core product updates
Webcam is the new default
We changed the default choice for screen recordings, from Screen only
to Screen
& Webcam
. It’s just more engaging.
Reminder: you can record videos in group feeds, as course activities, or as course questions.
More path statistics
- You can now download the statistics for all path sessions you can access in one click.
- You can now view and download the statistics for all sessions within a specific path (instead of only per session, until now).
- In the path session statistics page, you can now click on a path step to see the details per learner (instead of only the general attendance, average time spent, and score).
- We revamped the export for the statistics of a specific path session — essentially adding more columns.
- We also added the start and end dates on the top right of the path session statistics page.
Check out our Track path session statistics article for more info.
More Classroom statistics
- Platform administrators can now download detailed statistics per learner per Classroom slot. See Track Classroom statistics.
- We added two new columns in the session export:
Classroom slot start date
andClassroom slot end date
. - You can also download an overview of Classroom slots. (This feature was already available, but we just wrote the article 😬: Download an overview of Classroom slots).
More managers statistics
We designed a new beta dashboard for managers. You can access it through Dashboard
>MANAGEES
, and its new features are described in Track statistics of managees.
(We’re still keeping the old one for now, under the unflattering term "Old dashboard", at least until all its current use cases are covered by the new one.)
More custom fields
You can now filter by custom fields on the following pages:
- section
USERS
>Active members
(+ submenus) of a group; - section
USERS
>Delete users
(+ submenus) of a group; - sections
MANAGERS
andMANAGEES
of the manager selection window (see Add managers).
Navigation & design updates
- The edition screen of paths is now a full page (instead of a page nested in the Dashboard), to be consistent with the edit screen of courses, program templates, and program sessions.
- We tweaked the homepage sidebar to improve group visibility (smaller font, less spacing, wider sidebar).
- We slightly changed the date (1st and 15th of the month instead of every Monday) and context (the timeframe is between 10 days and 2 months ago) of the email notification sent when created courses were not shared anywhere.
- We tweaked the design of the date picker:
- The hour is entered as 24 hours, instead of having to choose between AM and PM
- We added a placeholder containing the current date when no date is entered
API
We’re adding three new routes.
- [DEL] removeGroupsFromPathSession, to unenroll groups from a path session.
- [GET] getProgramSessionClassroomSlots, to get the list of Classroom slots for a given program session.
- [GET] getClassroomSlotRegistrations, to get the attendance data for a given Classroom slot.
We designed a short slide deck to explain the use case for the second and third routes.
See our API documentation for more details on how to use each route.
Solution: Globalization
Localized subtitles
You can now upload subtitles that will be linked to the course language. This allows you to translate subtitles only, instead of entire videos. See Add localized subtitles to a video.
Solution: HCM Connect
Working around SAP SuccessFactors languages
In SAP SuccessFactors, an item will only be presented to a user if the metadata exists in their language.
- We clarified our rule in the setup documentation: metadata are sent untranslated in all languages found in the SAP SuccessFactors platform, at the time of the connector creation.
- If you add a new language to SAP SuccessFactors, contact your SA to request a re-synchronization of courses — otherwise, metadata will not be sent in the new language.
October 27th, 2021 (v59)
Core product updates
Relocated results, personal settings, and logout
To simplify our navigation panel, we moved the personal setting, results, and logout links to the top right corner of homepage side panel.
Homepage improvements for users
To improve the homepage experience, we updated several components:
- New “completed trainings” section: Learners will be able to easily find their past training items in the new Completed trainings section.
- Call to action placeholders: Updated default workspace display for users with less platform activity. Admins/authors are encouraged to create a course, Managers are encouraged to view their team's stats in the dashboard, and learners are encouraged to declare a Learning Need (if activated) or to edit their profile.
- Improved path and program minis: To give users quicker visibility on their due dates and end dates, we updated the design of our program and path minis.
Removed Draft status from courses
We simplified our course creation workflow by removing the draft state. Instead of requiring authors to click Publish, courses are now automatically Active at creation.
NOTE: Active courses won’t be visible to learners until you add them to a group catalog and/or library.
Updated course creation features
We added the following features to the course creation features:
- Course template preview: Authors can now hover over a course template for a preview of the activities.
- Course edit screen opens on settings: When users open the course edit screen, it now takes them to the general information page instead of the last activity.
- Owner group: Like paths, courses now have an owner group. Authors and administrators of the owner group can edit the course.
New languages: Czech, Hungarian, Slovak
Users can now set their platform language to Czech, Hungarian, or Slovak!
Corrected time spent calculation on OPCO attestation
The time spent on all attempts is now counted on the OPCO attestation file.
Downloadable classroom attendance sheet table
Instructors can now download their classroom attendance sheets directly from the attendance table.
Filtering by custom fields now available in new areas
We added the ability to filter by custom fields to new areas in the platform:
- Viewing program session registrants.
- Sending a reminder about program sessions.
- Viewing program session waiting list.
- Viewing learners assigned to a classroom block.
- Viewing program session detailed results.
Added results by step to path sessions stats page
Admins, coaches, and path session instructors can now view results grouped by path step on the path sessions stats page.
No more sorting by Time spent or Last activity
We removed the possibility to sort tables by clicking on the header of Time spent
and Last activity
in the section Results and Statistics
>Learners
of a group. This was crashing platforms with many users, and we don’t have a clean way of solving this in the short run.
You can still order and filter those values using CSV exports:
-
Time spent
andLast activity
can be found (and filtered/orderd) in user exports. -
Time spent
can also be found (and filtered/ordered) in course exports, program session exports, and path session exports.
NOTE: We’re planning to reintroduce this feature later, in a better form.
Navigation and design updates
Here are some of the other navigation and design updates we made this release:
- Improved the design of our date picker on the path session editor pages, project edit pages, user administration page, and filters with time intervals.
- Added count of selected filters to tableview and data grid display filter icons.
- Removed black border from videos in courses.
Learning Need updates (Enterprise)
Archiving Learning Need projects
Admins and project groups now have the ability to archive projects. See Archive & delete a Project.
Updated project status name
Previously, there were multiple status names for completed learning need projects. We updated all of these instances to Delivered for consistency.
Other learning need updates
Here are some of the other updates we made to our Learning Need features:
- Adjusted the ranking algorithm for learning need items in the newsfeed.
- Added highlight to suggested experts when launching learning need project.
- Based on user feedback, we updated the Apply button to Volunteer and Unapply to Cancel Volunteering.
Solution: Sales Enablement
Updated screen recording feature
When using the Record your screen feature for evaluations and posts, the Screen & Webcam option is now the default selection.
NOTE: Check out our Add an open-ended question to a course and Record your screen or record yourself from a group feed articles for more info on this feature!
Mobile updates
Path sessions now supported on Android
Learners now have access to path sessions on the Android mobile app.
NOTE: Available on iOS soon!
App version number available on Android
Android users can now see the app version number at the bottom of their settings screen.
Integration updates
HCM integration improvements
- Automatic assignment for Cornerstone and SuccessFactors: If a learner accesses a program session that they are not assigned to from either CSOD or SuccessFactors, we now automatically assign them to that session.
- Cornerstone HRIS user sync: We improved the CSOD integration’s data synchronization by creating an FTP connector for CSOD’s user sync.
Billing update: Program licenses
Paths counted towards annual plan starting October 27th
Effective October 27th, paths count towards used licenses in the Users Credits billing offer. Platform owners can now see used licenses for both paths and programs on our billing page.
- This update is not retroactive. If learners accessed a path before October 27th, that will not count as a used license.
- Viewing a previously completed path session will also not count as a used license.
- Viewing a path included within a path will use two licenses.

Core product updates
Filtering with user custom fields
Following your feedback, it’s now possible to filter users by custom fields! You’ll also be able to filter by user custom fields in the general data export, when downloading exports by OPCO logs, general statistics, sessions or courses).
Groups authors can edit courses
To allow users to collaborate more effectively, group authors are now able to edit courses that belong to their group(s)
Using course templates
When creating a course, authors now have access to five templates for common course types (Onboarding
, Software Training
, Universal
, Knowledge Check
or Compliance / Security
).
Quick access to training items from homepage
To give authors and administrators even quicker access to their work items, we’ve replaced the Continue creating on the course dashboard with a Continue Editing section directly on the homepage.
This section shows items that users are the author or co-author of, have been updated in the last two months, and are not archived or deleted.
Mass downloading certificates
Administrators and coaches can now download in one click all certificates earned by learners they are allowed to see, directly from the platform. See Download certificates.
Updated exports
We updated the data included in some of our CSV exports:
- Session exports now includes a column
Author
, with the email of the user who created the session. See Track program session statistics. - Instead of the general data export, the program sessions dashboard download now exports a list of the program sessions. See Download program sessions list.
- Session exports now include the details of Classrooms (block title, slot title, slot attendance percentage, and slot reported duration). See Track program session statistics.
Self-registering available when classroom slots are full
Learners can now self-register to program sessions that have been shared with their groups, even when all classroom slots are full.
Solution: Enterprise
Creating project templates
Administrators can now set up frameworks for future projects by using the new project templates feature. See Create a Project template.
Solution: Live Training
Introducing the 360Learning app for Zoom
Starting October 7th, you can download the 360Learning app from the Zoom App Marketplace.
Here are some of the great features that come with this app:
- Simplify the setup process by creating a webinar link in seconds with just one click (see Create a zoom meeting from a Classroom slot)
- Track and measure attendance by accessing attendance rates for live training sessions right inside the 360Learning platform
- Access past sessions recordings from the platform
Solution: Extended Enterprise
We added a more meaningful message when users try to self-register to groups with an email address that is already linked to a 360Learning account. We can’t exactly disclose where the email address is already used, so we just focus on what to do to.
Other updates
- Users can now reset their password from the iOS mobile app.
- We renamed a few notifications that were mentioning "face-to-face" and "webinars" into "on-site classrooms" and "virtual classrooms". See the full list of notifications here.
Navigation and design updates
Here are a few other navigation and design updates we made this release:
- Added a note alerting program session authors that they will be able to create more classroom slots after they publish the session.
- Updated the design and behavior on some of our tooltips.
Clearing path session end date
Users can now clear the end date field for their path session by hitting the backspace key.
Demo program sessions removed
Due to low use, we removed the demo program sessions that the system previously generated when a platform gets created.

August 25th, 2021 (v56)
Path description is now displayed in enrollment notifications
The email notifications sent upon path enrollment now include the path description.
See the details of the notification here.
Uploading subtitles to videos
Authors are now able to add subtitles to videos they uploaded from their computer or recorded from within the course’s edit screen.
Learn more on Add subtitles to a video.
Managers now access their team’s stats in 1 click
Managers who click Dashboard
are now automatically redirected to the dashboard of their managees (instead of, previously, clicking Dashboard
>GROUPS
>Managees
). One click instead of three.
Managers who also have an administrator role are not redirected to the dashboard of their managees, but still have a dedicated tab MANAGEES
in their dashboard. Two clicks instead of three.
Learn more on Track statistics of managees.
Access statistics faster
If you have the required permissions to see the statistics of a course, program or path, you can now click ...
>See statistics
on the top right of their picture (we call it « the miniview ») in the homepage.
Suggest experts when creating a Learning Need
Users who create a new Learning Need now have a new field called Suggested experts
, where they can suggest users who might be a good fit.
We realized that users who created Learning Needs often had an idea of who would be a good candidate — but that candidate didn’t always apply. We want to bridge that gap.
Learn more on Create a Learning Need.
Access course settings by clicking the cog icon
You can now access the course settings by clicking the cog icon on the top right of a course in edit screen (instead of scrolling down).
Filterable custom fields
Custom fields can now be selected when filtering users.
On any list of users, click Filter
on the top right, then click +
below Custom Fields
.
When filtering on a custom field, the table dynamically adds a column whose header corresponds to the custom field title.
Reminder: custom fields are planned to replace labels.
Coaches can create path sessions
Coaches who have access to a path as learners can now access a restricted view of the edit screen, where they can share the path to their group.
Mobile
- iOS only: an excerpt of the course description is now displayed in the home screen of the course.
- We decreased the font size of the author in the course home screen.
- We removed the 360Learning logo that appeared when loading the first activity of a course (which caused confusion for white-labeled apps).
Solution: Sales Enablement
- Evaluators can now give feedback to an open-ended question by recording a video (of themselves, their screen, or their screen + webcam). Learn more on Correct an open-ended question.
Minor updates
- We removed the chatbot from free trial platforms. Initially thought as a way to help new users, we realized it created more confusion than comfort.
- We also removed the button
+
>PATH
from Free Trial platforms. Free Trial platforms can still create paths, by going inDashboard
>PATHS
, then clicking+
on the top right. - We removed the preview of courses, paths, or programs in the side panel of the homepage; clicking now redirects to the element’s homepage.
- We removed the
+ GROUP
button in the popup window when clickingSEND A REMINDER
in the menuUSERS
>Invitations
>Sent
from the settings of a group. This button was rarely used (6 groups created over the past 3 months). - We removed the placeholder
Add your job
in the job field of a user profile. - We changed the default logo for new platforms. We’re not in 2002 anymore, for Pete’s sake.
- We removed the section about skills in the program session stats page, and the program template stats page. This was slowing the display of the page (sometimes crashing!), for low usage.
August 4th, 2021 (v55)
Paths now include sessions
Paths now have sessions. When creating new Paths, instructors will need to create a session to share the path with learners. For Paths that already existed, you will see a session with no End Date filled out added.
Check out our Create a path and Share path with learners articles for more information on how to use this functionality!
Updates to Path statistics dashboard
With sessions added to paths, the path statistics dashboard view has been updated. Stats are now viewable per sessions. For more information, check out our Track Paths statistics article.
Custom Fields updates
We have integrated Custom Fields into a couple new spots within the platform:

All platforms can now create two free courses with Video Pitch and Screencast demo questions. You can also use assessment criteria. 😊
Automatic deletion date for group administrators
Group administrators can now add an automatic deletion date on users in their groups.
Reaction score in program template export
The CSV export of a program template now includes the average of the Reaction Scores of all courses in the tempate.
Default group for new Learning Needs
When creating a Learning Need, the group (which is a mandatory field) is now prefilled.
The chosen group is the newest biggest group that is closest to the platform group, where the user is at least Coach, and where Learning Needs is activated and the maximum number of Learning Needs is not reached.
Paths removed from profiles
We decided not to display the list of earned Paths in users profile page anymore. Although this usually serves as a nice display of achievements, it could also create GDPR awkwardness.

Paths:
- Relative Due Dates: you will be able to set a Relative Due Date on a Path's step. This option will automatically compute the availability of the step based on the enrollment date. In other words, you won't have to set the availability date of the step (D+1, D+2... after enrollment) manually. Relative Due Dates are optional and indicative: Learners will still be able to access the step even if they're late to the step. Finally, you will be able to set Relative Due Dates on new and existing Paths. This opens a whole new set of statistics on Paths. In the Dashboard, you will be able to see at a glance which Learners are falling behind on their learning journey. Please note: you will only be able to download these statistics starting March 31st.
Learning Analytics
-
Learner's Score on Paths: in the Dashboard, you will be able to access a Learner's score on a Path. The data will be available on a Path page, and also from users/groups menus in the Dashboard. The score will be based on the average score of each completed step:
- If the step is a course: the score will be based on the course's score
- If the step is a program: the score will be based on the number of courses in the session and the best score amongst all attempts.
- If the step is a path: the Dashboard will feature the path's score.
360Learning for Enterprise
- Delete a project: squad members will be able to delete the project by accessing the options in the collaboration interface.

-
New platform prompt: best practices from top project management suggest that communicating with the team as soon as the project starts increases team performance. We're putting our own 360Learning spin on it by preparing a pre-comment draft, ready to use as soon as you launch the project. The message reads as follows:
- title: Kick off the project! 🚀
- title: "[@project member 1] [@project member 2] [@project member ...] Welcome to the project! Next steps are ..."
Collaborative Activity
- Reactions Score: meet the Reactions Score! In the Dashboard, you will be able to see which course needs your attention the most (for example: give additional information to Learners or update documents) via a Score computed on the number of Reactions. This score ranges from -100 to 100. We compute it as follows: (total of positive Reactions) - (total of negative Reactions) / (total number of played courses and activities). The Dashboard will highlight courses with the lowest score.
- UX/UI: comments will be made via a pop-up window
Globalization
- Statistics breakdown: since last December, 360Learning is helping you address the challenges of multilingual training management with our Globalization solution. - Separate Projects tab: the top menu will feature a new Projects tab next to the Catalog, to enable squad members to quickly find the project they're working on. Projects will still be available via the Catalog > Learning Needs tab.
- Activate the collaboration interface from the group's settings: in addition to Learning Needs, you will be able to activate the Collaboration interface at the group's scale. This is the perfect opportunity to get familiar with the collaborative project management features we're been releasing over the last few weeks. You can activate them in one group, not have to worry about launching Learning Needs, and start working on a training project - all from the platform!
- Link objects to the training project: in addition to your links and documents, you will be able to add 360Learning-generated objects (course, program, Learning Need) to your project. This comes in very handy when your project doesn't originate from a Learning Need, and you want to attach the final course!
- Learning Need: you will be able to find the declaration date of the Learning Need in the feed.
Collaboration
- Feedback Inbox: the Feedback Inbox centralizes pending comments on your courses and helps you get back to them more efficiently. This new version makes it easier to switch between activities. Also, we're extending the scope of the inbox to Instructor notifications, user mentions, and responses in the discussion thread.
- Feature removal: the Reactions bar features 5 types of Reactions: I like it/ I learned something / This is outdated / I didn't get it / I disagree. To streamline the types of Reactions, we're removing the "I disagree" reaction type. Reactions computed for the "I disagree" type of feedback will be re-computed into the "I didn't get it" type of feedback". This change also applies to mobile apps.
Sales Enablement
-
Reassess submissions: instructors want to make sure that their feedback has been taken into account However, they can't really do that because open questions are completed on a one-off basis. When instructors receive an open question, they will be able to review it and ask the Learner to send a new attempt. Instructors will have to ask for a new attempt before correcting the question.

Notifications
- Decoupling Desktop/Push Notifications: turning off desktop notifications also disables push notifications on the app. We are decoupling desktop notifications from push notifications. You will be able to switch off notifications on the web platform and still receive Push Notifications on your app.
