Release Notes 2023

  • Updated

Your 360Learning platform is updated every 3 weeks (on Wednesdays between 6 AM and 8 AM GMT+2)*. Please find below the list of modifications from 2023.

December 13th, 2023 (v96)

Core product updates

Add terms of use for your platform and private groups

On top of a privacy policy and moderation charter, platform owners can now add a document detailing the terms of use for the platform and private groups.

As for the privacy policy and moderation charter, you can ask users their explicit consent for those terms of use, before using the platform.

Impacted application:

Jumpstart your learning journey with high-quality courses from OpenSesame

December 11th edit: we’re postponing this feature to January 24, 2024. We apologize for the late notice. — Flavien

All new clients can now access 10 free OpenSesame courses on topics such as AI, wellness, inclusion, and leadership during their first year. The courses are shared in the root group catalog in the language of the platform owner, in either English, French, or German.

Impacted application:

Supercharge your learning analytics with the Data Connect solution

After a successful pilot, you can now subscribe to the Data Connect solution to boost your analytics and automate your data management tasks. Data Connect grants you access to a copy of our Snowflake-powered data warehouse to:

  • Explore the raw learning data of your users.
  • Query the data with SQL worksheets.
  • Download your query results in CSV format.
  • Create charts with your query results.
  • Download the charts in PNG format.
  • Create a dashboard with the results of multiple queries.
  • Synchronize the learning data to your Business Intelligence (BI) and data integration tools.

For more information about the Data Connect solution, contact your Customer Success Partner (CSP).

Impacted application:

Access a platform with multiple email aliases

We've improved the authentication process for learners who have multiple aliases to access multiple platforms.

  • If a user enters the wrong email alias, they can still log in if they type the correct password linked to the platform they are trying to reach.
  • If a user tries to access the platform from an email, Slack, or Teams notification, they are logged into the platform linked to the notification.

Impacted application:

More protection on custom field deletion

Deleting an entire custom field now displays a warning message with the list of impacted paths, to avoid leading to mass enrollments or unenrollments for platforms using audiences for enrollment mechanism.

Impacted application:

New insights on opinion questions

The course statistics page now displays the data gathered from opinion questions that are typically used for polls and surveys. This allows admins and authors to identify at a glance the effectiveness of their courses.

Impacted application:

Increased limit for scheduled reports

Previously, if you didn't download a scheduled report three times in a row, the report schedule was paused. We've increased the threshold to 7 report generations.

Impacted application:

Updated integration: Workday

We’re revamping our Workday integration: admins can now synchronize users, catalogs, and statistics.

Impacted application:

Already enrolled learners marked in audiences

If you’re using audiences to enroll users in paths, the user selection interface now displays if a user is already enrolled in a session of this path.

You can also filter users to show only those that are not yet enrolled.

Impacted application:

Batch enroll users in paths with a .csv Enroll users in paths with email addresses

December 14th edit: contrary to what we announced, this feature doesn’t allow the import of a CSV file to enroll users. You can, however, batch enroll users by pasting a list of email addresses. See this section if you use audiences — and this section otherwise. My apologies for this blunder. — Flavien

Admins and coaches can now import a .csv file add a list of email addresses to enroll users in batch in a path session.

This will add users to the platform, if they didn’t already have an account.

Impacted application:

Other updates

  • 🗓️ Courses created recently now appear higher in the search results. This will prevent “2018 Q1 updates” from appearing above “2023 Q4 updates”.
  • ☝️ We refined the wording in the new interface to enroll users in paths: when selecting more than one path or certificate, the text to select the value of those items becomes “at least one is” (instead of just “is”).
  • 👀 Paths added to the catalog of your group now appear in your newsfeed.
  • ✨ We updated the design interface to add steps or actions in a path, to make it more readable and take less space.
  • 📝 The word Expiring soon is replaced by Expiring in 30 days in the dropdown to filter audiences by certificate status.

Globalization updates

Additional languages for translations

You can now translate your training content into Bengali, Bosnian, Gujarati, Kazakh, Lithuanian, Oriya, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Te Reo Maori, and Urdu.

Impacted applications:

Mobile updates

  • We’re rolling out a new navigation experience to improve consistency across devices. Mobile users can now navigate from one group to another by selecting the burger menu at the top left corner of their screen. For more information, see Welcome to the new mobile navigation experience! Impacted applications:
  • Learners can now see the requirements they must complete before starting a path. Impacted applications:
  • Learners can access their notification center inside the app. Impacted applications:

  • updatePath: update various parameters of the path, including:
    • name,
    • description,
    • authors,
    • owner group,
    • skills,
    • additional information,
    • certificate,
    • whether or not the steps are mandatory,
    • whether or not automated reminders are activated,
    • whether or not the path is linear,

    • estimated duration,
    • estimated weekly commitment,
    • image,
    • source language,
    • default language.
  • deletePath: delete a path.

And two new routes for library management:

  • addToGroupLibrary: Add courses, program templates or paths to your group library.
  • deleteFromGroupLibrary: Remove courses, program templates or paths from your group library.

November 22nd, 2023 (v95)

Core product updates

Customize the layout of group pages

Organize the layout of your group pages by adding, deleting, or rearranging sections such as training items, carousels, leaderboards, and learning needs.

In the core product, platform administrators can customize the layout in the root group. The chosen layout then applies to all platform groups.

With the Customization solution, group administrators can create a different layout for each group page.

[RN EN] Widgets on group page.gif

For more information, see Customize a group page.

Impacted application:

New General Dashboard

We’ve replaced the General Dashboard with new analytics to match the Group Dashboard format. Platform administrators can now see, filter, and download the statistics at the platform level, including the following:

  • Number of active users in the platform
  • Average number of connections per active users
  • Training time per active user
  • Activity per device

You can still find the data from the previous general dashboard under the Old General dashboard tab.

[RN EN] New General dashboard.gif

Impacted application:

AI assistance: for all groups

Group administrators (previously: only platform admins) can now add their own guidelines for the creation of course through AI.

Impacted application:

Bye bye invitations, hello invited users

We changed how the platform thinks about invitations, to make the invitees’ experience more pleasant. There’s a bunch of small changes here and there, which compound into the following gist:

  • Invited users can now be enrolled, assigned, tagged, selected or deleted just like any other user in the platform.
  • But invited users will not receive any notification, nor be billed.
  • The menu “Invitations” is now “Invited users”.

This should reduce headaches in administrating users in and out, managing pending invitations and the number of billed users.

Impacted application:

Create a course from the homepage

To encourage new content creation, we’ve added a Create a new course button that authors can see as soon as they log into the platform:

  • For free trial platforms, new authors will see the button in the Welcome section of the homepage.
  • For all other platforms, authors will see the button under the section My work of the homepage, in the Continue editing tab.

[RN EN] Create a new course.jpeg

Impacted application:

Faster loading times for statistics

We’ve made significant changes in the backend to improve the performance of the statistics pages.

Impacted application:

New format for the estimated duration column in Paths reports

The estimated duration in Paths custom reports is now computed in absolute time in the format HH:MM:SS:

  • The estimated duration of a path that lasts 1 day is equivalent to 24:00:00. To convert it to days, divide by 24.
  • The estimated duration of a path that lasts 1 week is equivalent to 168:00:00. To convert it to weeks, divide by 168.
  • The estimated duration of a path that lasts 1 month is equivalent to 720:00:00. To convert it to months, divide by 720.

Impacted application:

View the path certificates relevant to your group

When you filter the paths certificates statistics by group in the Certificates chip, the certificates list will now only show:

  • Certificates of paths that are assigned to at least one learner of the selected group
  • Certificates of paths where at least one learner of the selected group has been enrolled in

Certificates that aren’t relevant to the learners of the selected group are filtered out.

Impacted application:

Public user statistics

November 20th edit: this is a late addition to the release note, I apologize 🙏 — Flavien

If you click on a user name, their profile page will now display some statistics about their impact in the platform.

Users with the owner, administrator (not user administrator), or author role will display the following metrics:

  • Course views: Number of attempts on courses where the user is the main author (including duplicates) in the last 90 days.
  • Comments received: Number of comments received in courses where the user is the main author (including duplicates) in the last 90 days.
  • Average reaction score: Average reaction score for courses where the user is the main author (including duplicates) in the last 90 days.
  • Published courses: Number of courses published by the user.

Other users will display the following metrics:

  • Completed courses: Number of completed courses in the last 90 days.
  • Comments received: Number of comments received on posts they published in group newsfeeds or course/path forums (excluding responses to their own responses) in the last 90 days.
  • Reactions received: Number of “like” reactions received on posts they published in group newsfeeds or course/path forums (excluding responses to their own responses) in the last 90 days.
  • Total training time: Total time spent on courses in the last 90 days.

If you hover over a user name, you will see a condensed version of those metrics:

  • Users with the owner, administrator (not user administrator), or author role will display course views.
  • Other users will display comments received and reactions received.

Impacted application:

Download comments in paths

Administrators can now download all comments made in their paths: this includes comments from the path forum, and comments made in the context of the path sessions.

Impacted application:

Expanded limits for audiences

Path session creators and editors can now select more users and more groups in path session
audiences
.

You can now select up to:

  • 20,000 users (previously: 3,000)
  • 5,000 groups (previously: 100)

We also added a small Select all button in the users and groups selection interface.

Impacted application:

Path email step: before session starts

We realized some emails needed to be sent before the session starts — and it’s a lot easier to calculate a date with respect to the session date, than the user’s enrollment date (which may vary by definition).

Therefore, path creators and editors can now choose the option Before the session start date when configuring their email step (on top of the existing options: Right after the previous step, After the enrollment date and After the session start date).

Impacted application:

Simpler Chrome extension (for real)

Barring the hiccup in the previous release (apologies again 😬), we now simplified the setup of the 360Learning Chrome extension: you can now only enter the URL of your platform, and we’ll do the rest.

Impacted application:

Learning need group activation: simplified

The toggle to activate or deactivate learning needs in a group is simplified: clicking on the toggle now just activates and deactivates (instead of opening a group selection modal, or redirecting you to a page with a list of groups).

Impacted application:

Additional languages for the web platform

Users can now see the platform in Danish, Greek, Thai, and Vietnamese on both web and mobile.

Impacted application:

Other updates

  • We removed the "beta" from the Slack integration tile.
  • When hovering over a username, the preview is now smaller during the loading time (it previously was boastingly large, and could lead to curiously disappointing results when revealing a single recently played course).
  • We added a banner below the attachments in email notifications sent from the platform, to warn that it can only be opened after logging in to the platform.

Extended Enterprise updates

Select custom fields upon self-registration

When self-registration is enabled in a group, administrators can add custom fields to the registration form. Learners may then select the values for the custom fields upon self-registration.

[RN Extended Enterprise] Self-registration custom fields.png

Impacted application:

Mobile updates

  • Learners can now download media and cheat sheets to their device storage, if the author has marked them as downloadable in the module. Impacted applications:
  • Learners can now see custom reactions when the reaction visual is customized on the web platform. Impacted applications:
  • When a path session has a limited number of seats, learners can now see the remaining number of seats. They can then either enroll directly or request to enroll if the path registration requires validation. Impacted applications:
  • To comply with the CNIL, we’ve updated the password requirements when a mobile user sets or changes their password. If the Activate password restrictions setting is enabled in a platform, users must enter a password with at least 14 characters. Impacted applications:

Integration updates

New integration: UKG Pro connector

Our new UKG Pro connector allows you to synchronize users from UKG Pro into 360Learning.

November 2nd, 2023 (v94)

Core product updates

Robyn the AI, in 20 languages

Our AI now understands all platform languages. You can now ask him to generate courses, create questions, or add guidelines for course creation in any of those languages.

Impacted application:

New Classroom chip for the Trainers

Users who are added as Trainers in a Classroom slot now have a clickable Classroom chip at the top of their homepage, where they can see the list of their Classrooms, and open them to fill attendance.

Up till now, they could only access the attendance dashboard from their email notification.

Impacted application:

Exclusion list for audiences

Path authors can now exclude individual users from audiences, thus creating exceptions.

This is useful when you want to make a general enrollment rule, except for a few users.

Impacted application:

AI course generation, part 2: compliance

Following Company culture and Pedagogy, platform admins can now use a Compliance tab in the AI-assistance section of their platform settings, that will apply to to all generated courses. Compliance concerns:

  • Data security
  • Confidentiality
  • Labor protection (including DEI)
  • Environmental law, etc.

Robyn will check if generated contents are compliant, and underline parts that are considered non-compliant.

It will also check if the generation contents are in relation to different compliance topics provided in the prompt, if yes, it’ll add a reference to those compliance laws. For example, if a user generates a course mentioning personal data, AI will automatically add a reference to GDPR.

Impacted application:

New columns for custom reports: first and last activity date

We added two new columns for the General Stats custom reports:

  • First activity date: most ancient date when the user opened a course.
  • Last activity date: most recent date when the user opened a course.

Those two columns are not included in the default list of columns when selecting the type General Stats. They are in the format YYYY/MM/DD.

Impacted application:

Program sessions: Endgame

Program session creators must now set an end date at latest on March 31st, 2024 — which is the final date for the migration from programs to paths.

Trick for tricksters: you can still edit a published program session, and make the end date later than March 31st. For all the good that does you.

Impacted application:

New moderation tool for comments

Users can now report posts (in a group, newsfeed or Message section, including replies).

Reporting sends an email notification to admins, who can then archive the post.

If more than 5 users report a post, it is automatically archived.

Impacted application:

Unenroll self-enrolled users in path sessions

Admins get more control and can now unenroll users who self-enrolled in a path session of their catalog (previously: only the self-enrolled users themselves could unenroll).

Impacted application:

Simpler Chrome extension

November 3rd edit: we’re postponing this change to the next release, on November 22nd. Apologies. We realized too late we had a dependency on some backend tasks, that were not ready for this release.

We simplified the setup of the 360Learning Chrome extension: you can now only enter the URL of your platform, and we’ll do the rest.

Impacted application:

New custom CSS propagation rules

Changing the custom CSS and HTML settings of a group now propagates to all subgroups, until it reaches a group with its own custom CSS or HTML settings.

In other words, a group will inherit the custom CSS or HTML settings of its closest parent.

Impacted application:

User custom fields, now in date format

Admins can now add dates as custom fields to users. This should simplify, in particular, filtering and enrolling batches of users who have a date custom field within a range of dates.

Impacted application:

BI Integration with Snowflake

Platform admins can now see and manipulate all their 360Learning platform data in Snowflake, thanks to our new integration!

Impacted application:

Integration with Credly

Users who complete certain courses and paths can now get a badge in Credly.

Admins have a configuration interface, where they can create rules to automatically trigger Credly badges when certain courses or paths are completed.

Impacted application:

Other core updates

  • ⚪ We changed the color of tooltips, to make them more accessible. They’re now Neutral/0, and do not depend on the platform customization color. Impacted application:
  • 🔍 We made activities easier to search: in the quick search bar and search results page, we moved the chip Activities between Program Sessions and Classrooms, making it directly visible (instead of at the end of the list). We also included a section Activities below Program Sessions in the search results page, when the chip All is selected. Impacted application:
  • 💡 We made the user profile page lighter and nicer, by removing a useless overlay on the cover picture.  Impacted application:
  • 💬 We added the description of the path in the path invitation email notification.
  • 📝 We shortened and simplified the instructions of the third step in the guided creation course. Impacted application:
  • 📝 We standardized the copy of labels and buttons around learning needs, by using the term “suggest” everywhere (rather than “share”, “declare”, “add” or similar kerfuffle). Impacted application
  • 📝 We shortened the placeholder text in the SSO login button, in the advanced settings of the platform group. It is now Log in with SSO instead of Log in with your company credentials. Impacted application

Mobile updates

  • Learners who receive a certificate at the end of a path can now tap a new button SHARE ON LINKEDIN at the bottom of the path home screen.
  • Users who are enrolled in a path now receive a push notification when a new step is added to that path.
  • Users who have their phones in Thai, Vietnamese, Greek, or Danish will see the interface of the app in these languages. Note, however, that since those languages are not (yet) available on the Web platform, they will not find any course in those languages.

API updates

We’re adding two new routes for Classrooms in path sessions. They are essentially adaptation from their legacy counterpart for programs.

  • POST createPathSessionClassroomSlot: create a Classroom slot in a given path session.
  • GET getPathUsersNeedingRegistrationToClassroom: get the list of user IDs that haven’t registered to any Classroom slot, in a path session in which they’re enrolled.

October 11th, 2023 (v93)

Core product updates

Path requirements

As we continue to prepare for the migration from programs to paths, we have added new functionality to paths. You can now assign requirements to your paths!

Assign requirement paths and courses, that will be required content(s) your learners will need to complete before starting the path training.

CleanShot 2023-09-29 at 16.49.38.gif

Impacted application:

Increased visibility of the User status filter

The User status filter, previously only available for platform admins, is now visible to all platform users. The increased visibility of the User status filter does not affect your role permissions on deleted users’ data:

  • If you can see deleted users in custom reports and path statistics, you can filter them out to ensure that the data only takes into account current users. You can also choose to only see the statistics of deleted users.
  • If you cannot see deleted users, then you cannot filter them in or out of your custom reports and path statistics. Your statistics will only show the current users' data.

Impacted application:

Dynamic or static enrollment for audiences in paths

Path authors can now choose whether audience filters apply dynamically or not, through a new option Dynamic updates.

  • When Dynamic updates is activated, users are automatically enrolled and unenrolled, as soon as they meet the audience criteria in the platform.
  • When Dynamic updates is deactivated, only users who meet the audience filter criteria at the time when the audience is saved are enrolled. If users meet the criteria after the audience is saved, they will not be enrolled; path authors will have to manually update the audience filters to trigger their enrollment.

Impacted application:

Customize the platform invitation email

October 16th 2023 edit: this feature was postponed to beginning of 2024.

Admins can now customize the email sent to new users when they enter the platform.

You can customize the subject, headline, body, the button and the image.

Platforms with the Globalization Solution can also translate that email.

Impacted application:

Visible and clickable filters in the search results page

When you filter results in the search results page, the selected criteria now appear as chips at the top of the page. You can click directly on the chip to remove the filter or edit it.

CleanShot 2023-10-02 at 14.33.27.gif

Impacted application:

Update path author/session instructor when a user is deleted

We have updated the logic used to replace path authors and session instructors when a user is deleted.

When a user is deleted from the platform, if they are a path author or session instructor, their replacement will be decided as follows:

Delete the main author of a path:

  • If there is a co-author, replace the main author with the first co-author
  • If there is not a co-author, replace with an admin of the path's owner group
  • If that group has no admins, replace with an admin of the parent group
  • If none of the above, replace with the owner of the platform

Delete the main instructor of a path session:

  • If there is a co-instructor, replace the main instructor with the first co-instructor
  • Otherwise, pick the main author of the path

Delete a co-author of a path:

  • Remove them from co-authors

Delete a co-instructor of a path session:

  • Remove them from co-instructors

Impacted application:

Other core product updates

  • The platform group is now pinned in the first position on the left navigation menu to facilitate navigation. Impacted application:
  • You can now display external content in the search results page by just removing the provider source filter at the top of the page. This change from a single selection to a multi selection allows all users to instantly display external content without needing to open the filter details. Impacted application:
  • We improved the AI course generation engine: the minimum number of characters for an input PDF file is now 500, instead of 3,000. Impacted application:

Globalization Updates

Keep selected language between a path and its courses

We have corrected an issue with translations in paths. When a learner attempts to change their preferred language on a course that is contained in a path with multiple translations, the language will now update as expected. Impacted application:

Translator selection window resize

To increase visibility when selecting translators on courses and paths in your platform, we have updated the screen when selecting translators to show a larger list of possible translators.

Impacted application:

September 20th, 2023 (v92)

Core product updates

Tweak AI course generation

Platform admins can now give instructions to Robyn the tireless AI, that will apply to all generated courses. Those instructions come in three two categories:

  1. Company culture — where you can define the tone of voice (Formal, Neutral, Casual, or even write your own adjective).
  2. Pedagogy — with a freeform default prompt, a maximum duration, as well as the choice to include key takeaways or not, and the number of questions per activity.
  3. Compliance — with a freeform default prompt of your own guidelines. Sept. 15th edit: we’re delaying this feature for later this year, to make sure the compliance works correctly. There is legal, important stuff in there that requires attention.

This new menu is available in the settings of the platform group, under AI-assistance.

Impacted application:

Monitor your compliance training with actionable data on path certificates

We've revamped the Path Certificates page with new data and actions to improve the management and reporting of your compliance training. You can now:

  • Track the certificates' validity period, validity rate, owner group, and associated paths.
  • Filter the path certificates list by registration date, group, and user custom field.
  • Download the list of path certificates with the number of enrolled and certified learners.
  • Download the learners' certificates in a ZIP folder.

[RN EN] Path certificates list.jpeg

You can also deep-dive into the statistics of an individual certificate to view and export a report on:

  • Who is up-to-date with their certification
  • When their certificates expire
  • Which path grants the certificate

[RN EN] Deep dive certificate.jpeg

Impacted application:

Automated attendance tracking with Zoom & MS Teams Webinar integration

We have updated the table view in the classrooms statistics page. If your classroom slot is configured to use one of our webinar providers (Zoom or MS Teams) you will see the updated table view.

From the classroom statistics page you are able to fill attendance by manually checking each learner or by bulk selecting all learners and then unchecking those who didn’t attend.

This view also has some useful new fields:

de8a4836-44f4-4ebf-b2f3-fad450eab5fd.png

  1. Actual Duration - This is the actual duration of the webinar. The screenshot above has a meeting scheduled from 9 AM to 11 AM but it ran over 12 minutes so the actual duration is 2h 12m.
  2. Attendance Threshold - This is used to determine if a user should be marked as Attended or Absent for the classroom slot. If the threshold is set to 75%, any user who attended less than 75% will be marked as absent. Any user who did not attend at all will also be marked absent.
  3. Attendance % - This is the duration of the meeting that each learner attended. A learner that attended the entire meeting will have 100% attendance. A learner who attended 1.5 hours of the 2 hour meeting will have 75% attendance.
  4. Attendance Duration - This is the amount of time that each learner spent in the meeting.

Impacted application:

Learners can be enrolled in multiple path sessions

We have made an update to path session restrictions. Learners can now be enrolled in multiple ongoing sessions within a path. Impacted application:

Rule update to custom emails in paths

We’ve made a small change to the email step within a path. When the option "right after the previous step" is selected:

  • If "mandatory replay" is set to FALSE: send the email once the course is successfully completed and either of the triggers have been met (“after the email creation date” or “before the enrollment date").
  • If "mandatory replay" is set to TRUE: send the email once the course is successfully completed and the trigger has been met (“after the email creation date”).

Impacted application:

Remove subgroup roles from a user when removing from a group

Previously, removing a user from a group did not always remove all of the users roles from associated subgroups within the group. This has been corrected, removing users from a group will now remove the users roles from all subgroups associated with the group.

Impacted application:

Sending conditions for the email step in paths

Authors and administrators can now send an email immediately after the previous step, and choose to send it only if the path is successful/unsuccessful/complete/incomplete.

Impacted application:

New path step: Slack message

September 20th edit: we’ve cancelled this feature at the last minute, due to a blocking, unresolved bug. We’re doing our best to solve it and deploy this feature in the next weeks.

October 3rd edit: fixed.

Authors and administrators can now send Slack notifications as a path step.

The body of the notification is customizable, and can include dynamic variables such as the first name, last name, email address and organization name of the connected user.

You can also add a button redirecting to the path homepage, and schedule to send your message after the previous step, after the enrollment date, or after the session start date.

Impacted application:
Filter audiences by certificate results

Authors and administrators can now filter path audiences using the results of certificates. They can filter by the following values:

  • Not obtained
  • Valid
  • Expired
  • Expiring soon (less than 30 days)

Impacted application:

Track the statistics of path sessions from the path list page

Gain valuable insights on path sessions for one group or multiple groups. You can now view, filter, and export the general statistics for path sessions such as the completion rate, average score, and median training time.

From the path list page, you can also search path sessions by their title, access the detailed statistics of a given path session, and create a custom report with additional filters and columns.

[RN EN] Path sessions.gif

Impacted application:

Download in just two clicks the general dashboard, the individual user results, the program sessions, and the course statistics

You can now quickly export data from multiple tables on the platform with these two new buttons:

  • Click CREATE REPORT to add filters, modify the report columns, and export the statistics from the custom reports page.
  • Click DOWNLOAD to export a report with all the available columns without leaving the page.

[RN EN] Download in 2 clicks.jpeg

Impacted application:

Download comments in courses

Authors and administrators can now download all comments made in their course.

Impacted application:

Search Classrooms

You can now search and filter by Classrooms in the new quick search.

Impacted application:

More filters in search results

In the new search results page, you can now use additional filter depending on the type of results.

  • Courses:
    • Completion status (Completed/Not started/Ongoing)
    • Provider source (Internal/External)
  • Program sessions
    • Status (Ended/Ongoing)
  • Paths
    • Status (Ended/Ongoing)
  • Activities
    • Type of activities (Cheat sheet, Document, Question)

Click on a chip at the top of the search results page, then click Filter at the top right to see those additional search filters.

Default group filtering in quick search

When you search for anything from a group page, we automatically filter the results within that group.

You can disable the filter by clicking on the X on the right of its name in the search bar.

Impacted application:

Other core product updates

  • We added icons in front of the filter names in path audiences (one icon for path results, one for certificate results, and one for custom fields). Impacted application:

  • When you use AI to create a course from a document, we now send you an email notification to warn you that the course is created (or if the process failed) — instead of forcing you to wait for a few minutes on the same screen. Impacted application:
  • We slightly changed the font of the number of enrolled users when it’s a 0 — so that it won’t lure you into thinking it’s clickable. Impacted application:
  • In path audiences, when clicking on the name of a user in the list of potential learners to enroll, we now open their profile in a separate tab — instead of the current tab, which erases all your unsaved path configuration. Extended Enterprise updates

Auto delete self-registered users

We’ve updated the automatic deletion functionality for self-registered users. You can now select a deletion date for learners from one of two options:

  • Delete user [x] days after registration
    • A date relative to the day the learner registers. For example, if you select 10 days after registration, and the user registers June 10th, they will be deleted at 12:00 AM on June 20th. You will not be billed for them after that day (if you are billed by number of users on your platform).
  • Delete user on [date]
    • An absolute date. If you choose May 5th, they will be deleted at 12:00 AM on May 5th.

  • Up to 5 write operations (PATCH/POST/PUT/DELETE) per second per API key
  • Up to 10 write operations (PATCH/POST/PUT/DELETE) per second per IP address

The limits for read operations (GET) and the special limits for DELETE /api/v1/groups/:groupId, POST /api/v1/users, DELETE /api/v1/users/:mail, and POST createGroup remain unchanged.

For more information, see our Technical Guide.

New route: POST importExternalCoursesStats

We’ve added the new POST importExternalCoursesStats route to update learner statistics for external content from an external platform. Learners can then see their progression on the 360Learning platform, and admins can monitor it in dashboards.

New route: createPath

We’ve added a new API route:

  • POST createPath: Create a path within the platform.

New route: getUserByExternalId

We’ve added a new API route:

  • GET getUserByExternalId: Retrieve a user when providing an external ID and an external platform.

New endpoint: updateClassroomSlotRSVPStatus

We’ve added a new API endpoint:

  • PATCH updateClassroomSlotRSVPStatus: Update the RSVPStatus of users who are already registered to a given slot by submitting their userID and their new status.

Endpoint change: updateClassroomSlotAttendance

We’ve updated the API endpoint: updateClassroomSlotAttendance. We have removed the program session ID requirement, allowing you to update the classroom slot attendance of your learners in both programs and paths.

Save time on classroom setup with the Google Calendar 2-way sync.

Instead of having to update classroom info in both the Google Calendar invite and the 360Learning platform, Authors can choose whichever location is most convenient for them in the moment.

With the Google Calendar 2-way sync enabled:

  • Edits made to a classroom on the platform are pushed to the corresponding Google Calendar event(s).

Impacted application:

Mandatory feedback for negative reactions

In order for authors to focus on improving their courses, learners who click THIS IS OUTDATED or I HAVE A QUESTION in a course must now enter a comment for the reaction to be taken into account.

This should help avoid non-actionable negative feedback, and keep course scores high.

Impacted application:

This is not outdated anymore

In order to avoid having updated courses still marked as outdated, we’ve automated the removal of the THIS IS OUTDATED reaction when the comment linked to that reaction is handled.

From the Feedback Inbox, when the author of the course marks the comment as read, the THIS IS OUTDATED reaction is automatically removed from the course, and the comment is archived.

Impacted application:

Breathing room in email notifications

In order to avoid the spam feeling, we’ve bundled a few email notifications together. You should now receive fewer emails, and at longer intervals.

There are three types of bundles:

  • direct mentions and answers: not more frequent than every 5 minutes (this feels like real time, and is commonly used by similar apps).
  • likes: not more frequent than every hour.
  • all the rest: daily.

Impacted application:

Slack connector audience extended

In order to improve users’ learning experience in the flow of work, and maximize impact of training notifications where your learners are, we’re launching the second iteration of our Slack connector by extending the audience.

The Slack Connector displays notifications for program session assignments and path assignments (whether the registration was done individually or part of a group).

Contact your Client Success Partner (CSP) or Solution Architect (SA) to install this connector.

Email notifications when a message is posted by a learner on a newsfeed are active. Each individual user can deactivate them in their settings. → corresponding to the notification option A new message is posted by a learner on a group or a session page, in the personal notification settings of users.

The corresponding notification options can still be disabled in the notification settings page, but they cannot be disabled by default by administrators.

CleanShot 2023-02-13 at 11.02.34.jpeg

New navigation experience for all

After a successful testing phase, we’re rolling out a new navigation experience in our ongoing efforts to improve the consistency of the navigation across the learning platform.

rn-new-nav-final.png

Quick navigation through pages

Instead of having to click through the left navigation panel and various dashboard menus to get to different pages, you can now navigate to different pages in one click.

Consistent top navigation

The top navigation menu (1) is now displayed on all pages, except for the course player and editors. Breadcrumbs make it easier to navigate through pages and know where you are.

Dashboard data is moving to the homepage and group pages

Using navigation filters (2), you can now access any objects (courses, classrooms, paths, etc.).

You can switch from the content view to the statistics view (3) directly from the homepage and group pages for analytics based on your filters.

You can still access the old dashboard from the left sidebar until March 2023.

Workspaces

From the left sidebar, you can access two different workspaces (4):

  • Home. From this workspace, you can access objects related to all groups, just like in the old dashboard.
  • Group. From this workspace, you can access objects related to the selected group or public channel.

Access to exports has moved

With the release of the new navigation experience, access to exports has moved:
