Deactivate the forum and reactions

Admins, editors, contributors, the course or path main author and co-authors can deactivate the forum and the reaction buttons in a course, and the forum in a path. Learners will not be able to comment or react in that course or path anymore.

It is not possible to disable the forum for specific users or groups, only on specific courses and paths.

Deactivate the forum and reactions in a course

1. At the top of the homepage, click Courses.
2. On the right of a course, click  Edit.
3. On the top right, click  Course Settings.
4. Disable the option Enable Collaborative Learning.
5. Click Disable.

You can reactivate the forum and reactions by enabling the option again.

Deactivate the forum in a path

When the path forum is enabled, learners enrolled in a path session can see its forum and reactions. When it is disabled, the forum is hidden from all enrolled users. The path forum is enabled by default.

1. At the top of the homepage, click Paths.
2. On the right side of the path row, click  Edit.
3. In the Build your training section, on the top right of Settings click Configure settings.
4. Turn Path forum on or off.
