Copy a course & duplicate an activity

  • Updated

Admins and editors can copy any course. Contributors can copy courses where they are assigned as the main author.

Copy a course

Copying a course will create a new course, with the same activities and settings as the original one, but with an empty forum and statistics. Both courses are independent. Editing one course will not change the other.

  1. At the top of the homepage, click Courses.
  2. On the right of a course, click … → Make a copy.
  3. Enter the name of the new course.
  4. At the bottom right, click Make a copy.

Copy a course created from an eLearning file

To copy a course created from an eLearning file, you can download the eLearning file and create a new course from that file.

  1. At the top of the homepage, click Courses.
  2. On the right of a course, click pen.svg Edit.
  3. On the left, click the activity.
  4. On the top right of the main section, click arrow-circle.svg Update file.
  5. On the top right of the modal, click download.svg Download.
  6. Create a new course from the downloaded file.

Duplicate a cheat sheet or a question

You can duplicate cheat sheets or questions to create a new one without starting from scratch.

Editing a duplicated cheat sheet or question will not change the content of the original one.

You cannot duplicate Document or Recording activities. For Document activities, a workaround is to create a new activity and choose Reuse at the top of the pop-up window.

  1. At the top of the homepage, click Courses.
  2. Click on a course.
  3. In the left sidebar, in the top right corner of an activity, click … → Duplicate this question/sheet.
