This article describes the best practices for creating a course with the AI prompt.
For instructions on how to create a course with AI, refer to Create a course using AI →
Structure of a prompt
To make sure the course matches your expectations, we recommend structuring your prompt in 4 paragraphs, answering these 4 questions:
- What is the course about?
- Who is it for?
- What should learners be able to do at the end?
- Anything else to consider?
If the course is about proprietary skills, we recommend uploading a document. For general topics, the prompt is sufficient.
You can also use the prompt to explain to the AI how to use the document (simplification, deep-dive on a specific section or point of view).
Example: Artificial Intelligence at work
This course introduces how artificial intelligence is used in everyday work contexts and how employees can interact with AI tools responsibly and effectively. It explains common AI use cases, limitations, and risks, with a focus on practical decision-making rather than technical development.
The course is designed for non-technical professionals who use digital tools in their daily work and want to better understand how AI supports tasks such as analysis, content creation, or decision support. No technical or data science background is required.
By the end of the course, learners will be able to identify appropriate workplace uses of AI, recognize its limitations and biases, and apply basic guidelines for responsible and effective use.
The course should emphasize practical examples and real work scenarios. The expected depth is introductory to practical, enabling learners to confidently use AI tools while understanding when human judgment is essential.
