Improved search filters

We’ve improved the search experience to make it easier for learners to find the right content, and for admins to better surface the material they publish.

  • Author & Co-Author filter for courses

    • You can now filter courses by their authors and co-authors, helping learners quickly find content created by specific users.

  • Filter for content’s source

    • A new filter lets you narrow results based on the source of the content (Internal or External).

  • Duration filter for courses

    • Learners can now filter their search by course duration.

Other mobile product updates

  • 📝 Text Widgets are now visible in your mobile app on the Discover tab.

  • 🏛️ Admins can add an imprint near the Privacy Policy.
  • 🎨 The cover picture on user profiles has been replaced with a compact color band.

Mobile product updates

Simplified login for users with multiple accounts

Following the change last month in the web platform, mobile users with multiple accounts linked to the same email address can now choose which account to log in to from a list.

This improvement makes the login process smoother and clearer for users with multiple accounts, reducing confusion and ensuring they always land in the right place.

Classroom improvements on mobile

We’ve added a dedicated section for classrooms in the My Work area on mobile. Learners can now see their upcoming classrooms at a glance, and tapping See all opens a full list of all upcoming classroom slots they're enrolled in.

This update aligns the mobile experience with desktop and makes it easier to stay on top of scheduled sessions.

Improved path-related notifications

We’ve added some new mobile notifications to keep learners better informed about path enrollment and classroom changes. These notifications will help learners by directing them to more relevant parts of the app.

The new notifications are sent when:

  • A path enrollment request is approved or denied

  • A learner is enrolled in, un-enrolled from, or moved to another classroom slot

  • A group admin deletes a session

Most of these notifications redirect learners straight to the relevant path, while session deletions lead to the app’s homepage.

Mobile product updates

Galleries now available on mobile

You can now view galleries on your mobile app. This update ensures a consistent experience across all your devices, with galleries appearing in the same location on home and group pages as they do on the web.

Other mobile product updates

  • 🏫 Learners can now only add classrooms to their calendar if they are registered to that classroom.
  • 🔗 Clicking a check-in link will now land users directly on the right classroom, and email links will redirect directly to attendance sheets.
  • ⏱️ Learners can now see Skillsoft progression in near real-time.

September 10th, 2025 (v8.30.0)

Mobile product updates

Improved security for resigned platforms

Learners will no longer be able to access resigned platforms on mobile. Previously, attempts to log in from mobile could still grant access, unlike on web where an error is shown. Now, login attempts on mobile will display an error, login links accessed when signing-on without a password are disabled, and mobile SSO access is blocked, ensuring resigned platforms remain inaccessible.

Easier navigation for managers on mobile

Managers can now search directly in My team’s dashboard on mobile. A search bar has been added so managers can quickly find their managees or trainings. Search is available in:

  • Trainings tab (list of trainings)

  • Trainings tab (list of users within a training)

  • Team tab (list of users)

Other mobile product updates

  • ⚠️ We are dropping support for iOS 15. This helps us align with industry standards and focus maintenance and support on current versions of iOS. Users on iOS 15 will need to update their devices to continue using the app.

  • 🔑 You can now reveal password fields when entering a new password on mobile. An eye icon has been added to all password input fields, making it easier to check what you’ve typed before saving.

  • 📝 In the user profile, optional fields are now clearly labeled. Biography, Organization, Role title, LinkedIn, X (formerly Twitter), and Phone now include “(optional)” so learners know they’re not required.

  • 📱 When accessing a group’s page on mobile via URL, you’ll now be redirected to the group’s Discover tab in the app.

July 30th, 2025 (v8.28.0)

Mobile product updates

Updated personal training history on mobile

Learners can now easily view their assigned, in-progress, and completed training from their profile on mobile. The training history screen has been redesigned with three clear sections—Assigned training, In progress training, and Completed training. Each section shows up to three items, with a “See all” option when more are available, and a counter displays how many items are in each section.

Feature deletion: My sessions dashboard

We’re removing the My sessions dashboard due to incompatibility with paths.

The feature was originally created to function with program sessions, but now that we've migrated to paths, the dashboard is no longer needed.

Mobile product updates

Homepage carousel now available on mobile

Your homepage carousel is now displayed on your mobile app in the Discover tab. Slides configured on the web will appear at the top of the tab if the carousel is active, visible, and contains images. Users can swipe through slides and tap them to follow links.

For more information on carousel's, visit Create a carousel.

Improved access to completed standalone courses

Learners can now more easily review and retry standalone courses they’ve already completed. Instead of restarting the course from scratch, clicking a completed course from My Work will now open the results page from their most recent attempt. From there, they can review their responses and retry the course directly.

Improved experience with links in the mobile app

Until now, tapping a link in the mobile app would redirect you to your web browser if the page didn’t exist in the app. This can feel like a bug, especially when some unsupported links display an error message while others don’t.

With this update, if you open a link that the app doesn’t support, you’ll now see a redirection confirmation message. You will then be able choose to continue to the browser or cancel and stay in the app.

May 27th, 2025 (v8.25.0)

Mobile product updates

Easier group filtering on mobile

We’ve updated how group filtering works on mobile. In the Discover, Newsfeed, Challenge, and Notifications tabs you’ll now see a dropdown in the top left corner labelled Home. Tap it to open a list of your groups and select a group from the list to view group-specific content.

Unenrollment: Consistency between path sessions and classrooms

Following the update to the web platform last month, learners can no longer self-unenroll from a path session if they are enrolled in a classroom slot with self-registration turned off (unless the slot has already ended).

Other mobile product updates

  • 🔐 SAML SSO now supports login via username.

  • 📱 Access key training KPIs anytime, anywhere.
