Admins, editors, and contributors can edit paths for which they are the main author or a co-author.
Admins and editors can edit paths that belong to their group. Admins can also edit paths that belong to its subgroups. Platform admins can edit any path.
To edit the cover image, title, description, skills, or tags, see Edit the overview of a path. To add, reorder, or delete steps and actions, see Edit the contents of a path.
Edit the owner group of a path
The main author of the path, and the editors and admins of its current owner group, can change the owner group. They can select any group in which they have the admin, editor, or contributor role.
- At the top of the homepage, click Paths.
- On the right side of the path row, click
Edit.
- At the top of the page, click on the name of the owner group.
By default, the owner group of a new path is a group in which its creator has the contributor role or higher. If the creator has this role in several groups, the owner group is (by order of priority) the private group closest to the platform group, with the most users. The default owner group may therefore differ from the group from which you create the path.
Admins and editors of the owner group can edit the path. Coaches of the owner group can enroll users in the path's sessions, publish the path session in the catalog, and create new path sessions.
Changing the owner group will not send any email notification.

See Edit the main author and co-authors of a path.
Edit the source language of a path
The source language is the language in which the path is written.
- At the top of the homepage, click Paths.
- On the right side of the path row, click
Edit.
- Below the Description field, next to Source language, click the language.
- If you have the Globalization Solution, this link does not appear. Instead, at the top of the path editor, click
Translate to open the Languages page.
- If you have the Globalization Solution, this link does not appear. Instead, at the top of the path editor, click
- Select the new source language.
You cannot select a language into which the path is already translated. To add or remove translations, see Translate a path.
On the Languages page, you can also set a default language for the path. The default language must be a translation that is available to learners.
The source language is used:
- To choose which version learners see. Learners see the version in their platform language if it is available. Otherwise, they see the default language, or the source language if there is no default language.
- For certificates, which follow the same rule as the path.
- In the Languages search filter.
Changing the source language or the default language also updates the language settings of the path's custom emails.
Mute or unmute notifications for a path
See Mute automatic notifications for a path.
Enable or disable reminders for inactive learners
When reminders are enabled, learners inactive on the platform for 2 days receive a reminder email, then another one after 7 days. When they are disabled, no reminder is sent. Reminders are disabled by default.

- On the right side of the path row, click
Edit.
- In the Build your training section, on the top right of Settings click Configure settings.
- Turn Reminders for inactive learners on or off.
Enable or disable new content notifications
When new content notifications are enabled, adding a step to a published path resets its status to On time, moves it back to learners' My Work section under Ongoing, and sends them an email notification. When they are disabled, adding a step changes none of these. New content notifications are disabled by default.
- At the top of the homepage, click Paths.
- On the right side of the path row, click
Edit.
- In the Build your training section, on the top right of Settings click Configure settings.
- Turn Notify learners when new content is added on or off.

- At the top of the homepage, click Paths.
- On the right side of the path row, click
Edit.
- In the Build your training section, on the top right of Settings click Configure settings.
- Turn Linear progression on or off.
In a linear path, learners who try to access a course from the catalog are redirected to complete it in the path context.
If a linear path contains courses that are part of an equivalency pool, learners who completed an equivalent course have those steps marked as Waived automatically.
Linear progression only controls step order and does not determine whether steps are required. To allow a step to be skipped, mark it as optional.

Edit.
