View all available notifications
You can find the detailed list of platform notifications in our notifications' database.
Here are quick links to common views:
On mobile, only notifications from the past 30 days are visible. Older notifications remain accessible on the web. This ensures a smoother experience by prioritizing more recent activities, as well as improving performance (especially in fluctuating network conditions). If needed, you can find notifications up to 6 months old in your web platform.
Configure notifications
Notifications can be configured at 2 levels: platform-wide defaults and individual user settings.
Platform-level notification settings (admins)
Platform admins can define default notification settings for all users.
These defaults:
- Apply automatically to new users.
- Apply to existing users only if they haven't changed the setting themselves.
- Can always be overridden by users in their own settings.
See Set up default notification settings for all users for more information.
Individual notification settings (users)
Users can control which notifications they receive and how they receive them.
From their personal settings, users can:
- Enable or disable individual notifications
- Mute or unmute all optional notifications
See Manage your personal email notification settings for more information.
From the email notification, they can also unsubscribe from similar notifications.
About email delivery frequency
Notifications are not always sent immediately. This is intentional. To avoid spam, notifications are grouped and delayed depending on their type.
Three frequency types are available:
- Direct mentions and replies: Sent at most every 5 minutes (near real time). For example:
- Likes: Sent at most once per hour (at minute 30). For example:
- All other notifications: Sent once daily at 3 PM Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). For example:
If a single action in the platform triggers more than one of the notifications listed above, only the first one is sent to avoid duplicates.
