Each user can manage how and when they receive notifications from the platform, by email, Slack, or Microsoft Teams (if active on your platform).
Notification settings may be preconfigured by your platform admins. You can change any notification setting unless a platform admin has locked it, in which case it appears grayed out and can't be changed.
Changes to your notification settings may take a few hours to apply.
Enable or disable a specific notification
If you don’t receive a notification (for example, a session invitation), check that it’s enabled in your personal settings.
- At the top right, click your user icon.
- Select Personal settings.
- At the top right, click the Notifications tab.
- Click a section title to expand it, and expand any grouped row to see its individual triggers.
- Select or clear the checkbox for the notification, in the Email, Slack, or Teams column.
Email notifications include footer links that let you:
- Unsubscribe from similar notifications. This link only shows for optional notifications a platform admin hasn't locked active.
- Deactivate all notifications. This unsubscribes you from all optional email notifications, including any a platform admin has locked active. The only exception is mandatory platform notifications ↗ (for example, account creation or password change emails), which you'll always receive regardless of your settings.
A grayed-out notification means you can't change it, either because a platform admin has locked it, or because you've unsubscribed from all email notifications. It keeps showing whatever state (checked or unchecked) it had before you unsubscribed. That state is restored if you unmute. Hover over the checkbox to see which reason applies.
Unmute all email notifications
If you unsubscribed from all optional email notifications using an email footer link, or by marking an email as spam, you can unmute them again. A platform admin can also do this for you, by impersonating your account.
- At the top right, click your user icon.
- Select Personal settings.
- On the top right, click the Notifications tab.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Unmute all notifications.
This doesn’t enable notifications that you disabled individually. To enable those, see Enable or disable a specific notification above.
