Add a video recording to a course

Authors can add video recordings to a course. The maximum duration of a recording is 15 minutes.

You can record videos on Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft Edge (version 79.0.309 and later), but not on Safari.

Record yourself

  1. At the top of the homepage, click Courses.
  2. Click on a course.
  3. In the left sidebar, below the list of existing activities, click Add a recording.
  4. Click Record yourself.
  5. If prompted, allow the browser to use your webcam and microphone.
    • If you have several webcams or microphones, you can change the default device in the settings of your browser (see the documentation for Chrome, Firefox and Edge).
  6. Enter the title for your recording.
  7. On the bottom, click START RECORDING.
  8. Record the video.
  9. On the bottom, click STOP RECORDING.
  10. On the top right of the video, click SAVE.

Record your screen

  1. At the top of the homepage, click Courses.
  2. Click on a course.
  3. In the left sidebar, below the list of existing activities, click Add a recording.
  4. Click Record your screen.
  5. If prompted, allow the browser to use your webcam and microphone.
    • If you have several webcams or microphones, you can change the default device in the settings of your browser (see the documentation for Chrome, Firefox and Edge).
  6. In the main window, select Screen only.
  7. Enter the title for your recording.
  8. On the bottom, click START RECORDING.
  9. Select the part of your screen you wish to record (full screen, window, or tab).
  10. Record the video.
  11. On the bottom, click STOP RECORDING.
  12. On the top right of the video, click SAVE.

Record your screen + webcam

  1. At the top of the homepage, click Courses.
  2. Click on a course.
  3. In the left sidebar, below the list of existing activities, click Add a recording.
  4. Click Record your screen.

  6. In the main window, select Screen & Webcam.
  7. Enter the title for your recording.
  8. On the bottom, click START RECORDING.
  9. Select the part of your screen you wish to record (full screen, window, or tab).
  10. Record the video.
  11. On the bottom, click STOP RECORDING.
  12. On the top right of the video, click SAVE.

You can edit a video recording by deleting the current video and recording a new one.
