Authors can add video recordings to a course. The maximum duration of a recording is 15 minutes.

You can record videos on Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft Edge (version 79.0.309 and later), but not on Safari.
Record yourself
- At the top of the homepage, click Courses.
- Click on a course.
- In the left sidebar, below the list of existing activities, click Add activity → Record yourself.
- If prompted, allow the browser to use your webcam and microphone.
- Enter the title for your recording.
- On the bottom, click Start recording.
- Record the video.
- On the bottom, click Stop recording.
- On the top right of the video, click Save.
If you see a blank screen, or an infinite loading, make sure your browser is allowed to use your webcam and microphone (see the documentation for Chrome and Firefox).
If you’re using macOS, make sure your browser is also allowed to enable Accessibility permissions.

- In the main window, select Screen only.
- Enter the title for your recording.

- Select the part of your screen you wish to record (full screen, window, or tab).
- Record the video.
- On the bottom, click Stop recording.
- On the top right of the video, click Save.

You can edit a video recording by deleting the current video and recording a new one.

Customize the thumbnail of a video recording
Authors can customize the thumbnail of their own video recording.
- At the top of the homepage, click Courses.
- On the right of the course row, click
Edit.
- In the left sidebar, click on a video recording.
- At the top right of the document, click
Settings.
- Below Thumbnail, click
Edit.
- Click OR SELECT A FILE.
- Upload the new thumbnail.
- On the bottom right, click Save.
