Restore a deleted account

  • Updated

You can restore a deleted account at any time, by adding it with the same email address.

The following elements will be automatically restored:

  • First name
  • Last name
  • Language (unless changed when account is restored)
  • Custom fields (unless you add or edit a custom field when you restore the user, in which case all previous custom fields will be overwritten)
  • Additional information
  • Assigned programs
  • Jobs and Skills
  • Enrollments in path sessions (based on enrollment method)
    • Group assignment → User will be re-enrolled, keeping his/her progress, if the restored user is a member in the group that was assigned in the first place (otherwise, user will not be re-enrolled)
    • Platform admin assigns "everyone" → User will be re-enrolled, keeping his/her progress

The following elements will not be restored:

  • Automatic deletion date
  • Group(s)
  • Role within the group
  • Role as session Instructor
  • Instructor whose name appears on the invitation email subject
  • Manager of other users
  • Enrollments in path sessions (based on enrollment method)
    • Individual assignment → User will not be re-enrolled
    • Self-enrollment (if path was available via catalog) → User will not be re-enrolled

Download the statistics for deleted accounts

  1. At the top of the homepage, click Users.
  2. Open the Deleted tab.
  3. On the top right, click Download.

The downloaded file will be similar to one from active accounts, except for the Direct reports and Group columns.

You can use that file to get the list of email addresses for all deleted users (to avoid making typos when restoring the account).
