Track detailed statistics for one path

  • Updated

Who can use this feature?

  • Path session instructors can see the statistics from all learners who've played the path session they instruct, regardless of their group.

The following users, who can edit a path, can also access its statistics, but they should have the instructor role on at least one path session, otherwise the path statistics page will be empty:

  • Owners/admins in the group that owns a path.
  • Coaches in the group that owns a path.
  • Authors in the group that owns a path.
  • Path authors and co-authors.

You can view path statistics on the platform in two ways:

  • View general statistics for multiple paths from the path list page.
  • View detailed statistics for an individual path from the path statistics page.

This article focuses on the detailed statistics for one path from the path statistics page. For more information on general statistics for multiple paths, see Track general statistics for multiple paths.

You can activate the extended visibility feature on your platform to broaden the range of statistics accessible to admins and coaches. With this feature, group admins and coaches can access the statistics page for path sessions owned by their group or any publicly connected groups.

When viewing the statistics page:

  • Coaches can only see statistics related to learners in their group.
  • Group admins can see statistics for learners in both their group and subgroups.

To activate the extended visibility feature, contact your Customer Success Partner (CSP).

View the path statistics page

The path statistics page compiles important statistics about a path.

  1. At the top of the homepage, click Paths.
  2. To the right of a path, click bar.svg Results and statistics.

The path statistics page is made up of different blocks described in the following subsections.

Certificate of completion

In this block, you can customize and generate certificates of completion, when enabled in the path settings.

Progress breakdown

In this section, the Total shows the total number of learners enrolled in the path. If at least 1 learner is enrolled in multiple sessions for the given path, the total number of path enrollments is displayed between parenthesis.

The doughnut chart displays the number of learners who have the following statuses per path enrollment:

  • Pending session opening: The learner is enrolled in a path session that hasn't started yet.
  • Not yet started: The learner is enrolled in an ongoing path session but they haven't started the path yet.
  • On time: The path session is ongoing, and the learner fulfills all the following conditions:
    • They started the path.
    • They completed all the mandatory steps with a past due date.
    • They haven't completed all the mandatory steps either without a due date, or with a due date that has not passed yet.
  • Awaiting correction: The learner has started the path and is waiting for the validation of an assessment before continuing the path.
  • Late: The path session is ongoing, and the learner fulfills all the following conditions:
    • They started the path.
    • They haven't completed at least one mandatory step with a past due date.
  • To retake: The path session is ongoing, and the learner fulfills at least one of the following conditions:
    • They haven't reached the minimum score for at least one mandatory course, and they haven't reached the maximum number of authorized attempts for mandatory courses.
    • They haven't completed the path within the time limits, and they haven't reached the maximum number of attempts for mandatory courses.
    • They completed at least one mandatory step outside of the path context with mandatory replay.
  • Unsuccessful: Either the path session ended when the status was Not yet started, Late, On time, To retake, or the learner fulfills at least one of the following conditions:
    • They haven't reached the minimum score for at least one mandatory step, and they reached the maximum number of attempts for the mandatory steps.
    • They haven't completed the path within the time limits, and they reached the maximum number of attempts for the mandatory steps.
  • Successful: The learner fulfills all the following conditions:
    • They reached the minimum score in all the mandatory courses that have one.
    • They completed the path within the time limits.
    • They completed all the mandatory steps in the path.
      • If the path has the mandatory replay option activated, the learner must have completed all the mandatory steps within the path session, even if they already completed the courses elsewhere.

When a learner is enrolled in multiple sessions for the same path, the status in each session is counted separately in the doughnut chart. For example, if a learner has completed all steps in two different path sessions, they are counted twice in the Completed status.
