Track general statistics for multiple paths

Who can use this feature?

Users who can edit a path can see its statistics:

  • Owners/admins in the group that owns a path
  • Coaches in the group that owns a path
  • Authors in the group that owns a path
  • Path authors and co-authors
  • Instructors

Users who can edit a path session can see its statistics, within the bounds of group visibility rules:

  • Owners/admins in the group that owns a path.
  • Coaches in the group that owns the session.
  • Path session instructors.

Accessible only on the Web Application.

You can track path statistics on the platform in two ways:

  • Track general statistics for multiple paths and path sessions.
  • Track detailed statistics for an individual path.

This article focuses on the general statistics for multiple paths and path sessions. For detailed statistics for an individual path, see Track detailed statistics for one path.

Track the general statistics for multiple paths

The path list page compiles general statistics about multiple paths.

View the paths' statistics for one group

To view the paths' statistics for one group within the bounds of the group visibility rules:

  1. In the left sidebar, click on a group.
  2. At the top of the group’s page, click Paths.
  3. Optional: Click slider.svg Filter to filter the path list by Status, Skills, or Source. 
    The filters applied to the path list are displayed as tags at the top of the path list. Click on an active filter tag to edit it.

View the paths' statistics for multiple groups

To view the paths' statistics for multiple groups within the bounds of the group visibility rules:

  1. At the top of the homepage, click Paths.

  2. Optional: Click slider.svg Filter to filter the path list by Status, Skills, or Source.
    The filters applied to the path list are displayed as tags at the top of the path list. Click on an active filter tag to edit it.

Paths general statistics

The path list page displays a table with one line per path. The following columns can be resized and reordered: 

Column title Description
Title Name of the path.
Steps Number of courses and paths steps in the path.
Learners Number of learners enrolled in the path.
Sessions Number of open and ended sessions in the path.
Completion Percentage of learners having completed the path out of all enrolled learners.
Avg. score

Average score of learners having completed the path.

Displays - if no learner has completed the path.
Median time

Median training time for learners having completed the path.

Displays - if no learner has completed the path.
Last modified Date when the path was last modified.
In library

Availability of a path in the group Library:

  • Yes: The path is available in the group Library.
  • No: The path is not available in the group Library.

This column only displays in the path list page of a group.

Download the general statistics for multiple paths

To download the general statistics for multiple paths from the path list page:

  1. At the top of the homepage, click Paths.
  2. Click MORE ACTIONS chevronDown.svg → Download.
  3. When prompted, click DOWNLOAD.

The downloaded file displays one line per path. The columns are displayed in the default order of the path list page.

You can also create a path custom report from the path list page with detailed information for each user per path. For more information on custom reports, see Export platform reports.

The path sessions list page compiles general statistics about multiple path sessions.

View the path sessions' statistics for one group

To view the path sessions' statistics for one group within the bounds of the group visibility rules:

  1. In the left sidebar, click on a group.
  2. At the top of the group’s page, click Paths.
  3. At the top left of the Paths page, click Paths chevronDown.svg → Paths sessions.
  4. Optional: Click slider.svg Filter to filter the path list by Instructors, Skills, Session status, Session start date, and session end date.
    The filters applied to the list are displayed as tags at the top of the list. Click on an active filter tag to edit it.

View the path sessions' statistics for multiple groups

To view the path sessions' statistics for multiple groups within the bounds of the group visibility rules:

  1. At the top of the homepage, click Paths.
  2. At the top left of the Paths page, click Paths chevronDown.svg → Paths sessions.
  3. Optional: Click slider.svg Filter to filter the path list by Instructors, Skills, Session status, Session start date, and session end date.
    The filters applied to the list are displayed as tags at the top of the list. Click on an active filter tag to edit it.

Path sessions general statistics

The path sessions list page displays a table with one line per path session. The following columns can be resized and reordered: 

Column title Description
Title Name of the path.
Session title Name of the path session.

Session start date

 Start date of the path session.
Session end date End date of the path session.
Instructors Number of instructors for the path session.
Learners Number of learners enrolled in the path session.
Completion Percentage of learners having completed the path out of all learners enrolled in the path session.
Avg. score Average score of learners having completed the path session.
Displays - if no learner has completed the path session.

Median time

Median training time for learners having completed the path session.

Displays - if no learner has completed the path session.
Last modified Date when the path session was last modified.

Download the general statistics for multiple path sessions

  1. At the top of the homepage, click Paths.
  2. At the top left of the Paths page, click Paths chevronDown.svg → Paths sessions.
  3. Click MORE ACTIONS chevronDown.svg → Download.
  4. When prompted, click DOWNLOAD.

The downloaded file displays one line per path session. The columns are displayed in the default order of the path session list page.
