Edit the title of a path session
- At the top of the homepage, click Paths.
- On the right of a path, click
Edit.
- If there is more than one path session, select a session in the Sessions sidebar.
- In the Enroll learners section, click the Title field.
- Enter the new title.
- Click outside the field.
Change the start and end date of a path session
- At the top of the homepage, click Paths.
- On the right of a path, click
Edit.
- If there is more than one path session, select a session in the Sessions sidebar.
- In the Enroll learners section, click the field Start or End.
- Select a new date and hour, then click outside the field.
- You can clear the end date by hitting ⌫ on your keyboard.
- The start date cannot be modified after a session has started and learners are enrolled.
- The end date closes the session permanently. You can’t reopen a closed session. Use end dates only when necessary.
Change the owner group of a path session
You can change the owner group of a path session, to a group where you have the coach or administrator role.
Coaches and administrators of the new group will be able to edit, share or delete the path session.
- At the top of the homepage, click Paths.
- On the right of a path, click
Edit.
- If there is more than one path session, select a session in the Sessions sidebar.
- Under Enroll learners, in the Settings section, click Configure settings.
- In the Owner group section, click on the name of the owner group.
- Select a new group.
- On the bottom right, click Confirm.
Change the main instructor of a path session
Coaches and administrators can add any user as a path instructor. The new main instructor will be able to edit or delete the path session, even if they don’t belong to the owner group of the path session.
If you create a session, you will be automatically added as main instructor of that session.
- At the top of the homepage, click Paths.
- On the right of a path, click
Edit.
- If there is more than one path session, select a session in the Sessions sidebar.
- Under Enroll learners, in the Settings section, click Configure settings.
- In the Main instructor section, click on the name of the main instructor.
- Select a new main instructor.
- On the bottom right, click Confirm.
Add instructors to a path session
Coaches and administrators can add any user as a path instructor. The instructors will be able to edit or delete the path session, even if they don’t belong to the owner group of the path session.
- At the top of the homepage, click Paths.
- On the right of a path, click
Edit.
- If there is more than one path session, select a session in the Sessions sidebar.
- Under Enroll learners, in the Settings section, click Configure settings.
- In the Co-instructor(s) section, click on the number of instructors (if no instructor is selected, click Add Instructor(s)).
- Select users.
- On the bottom right, click Confirm.
You can remove instructors by unselecting the users in step 5.
Require validation of open access registrations
When you add a path session to a group's catalog, you can enable a setting that requires instructors of that path session, managers, group admins, or group coaches to approve learner self-registrations.
- At the top of the homepage, click Paths.
- On the right of a path, click
Edit.
- If there is more than one path session, select a session in the Sessions sidebar.
- In Build the Audience, click Edit the audience > Add to catalog.
- Select the groups.
- Enable Require validation of open access registrations.
- Select if the validation is completed by Instructors, Managers, Managers + Group Admins, or Managers + Instructors + Group Admins + Group Coaches.
- If you select Managers but the enrolled user does not have a manager, the validation request will be sent to the path session instructors.
- If you select an option with multiple roles (Managers + Group Admins or Managers + Instructors + Group Admins + Group Coaches), only one validation is required.
- Note: Group Admins refers to the administrators of the group that owns the session, not the group of the learner.
By enabling this option, you will add a validation step for the learners' enrollment. From the path page, learners will be able to request enrollment. An email will be sent to the instructors (or the managers, determined by the setting), where they will be able to validate or decline the request.
If your platform is fully migrated to paths, instructors and managers will be able to process registration requests from the task center.
No validation will be necessary if you directly enroll your learners.
Limit the number of seats in a path session
You can limit the maximum number of seats available for self-enrollment within a path session.
- At the top of the homepage, click Paths.
- On the right of a path, click
Edit.
- If there is more than one path session, select a session in the Sessions sidebar.
- Enable Limit the number of seats for this path session.
- Enter the number of seats that you would like to limit the path session to.
There is a limit of 200 users on the self-enrolled waiting list of a path session.
This option is only available if the path session has been added to the catalog of a group.
