Create a path session

  • Updated

Who can use this feature?

  • The path main author and co-authors can create sessions in the path.
  • Admins, editors, and coaches can create path sessions in paths that belong to their group.
  • Platform admins can create path sessions in any path.

You can share paths by creating path sessions. You can then enroll users in those path sessions.

  1. At the top of the homepage, click Paths.
  2. On the right of the path name, click pen.svg Edit.
  3. If the path already contains sessions, at the top right of the Sessions sidebar, click New.
  4. If the path doesn’t have any sessions, in the Enroll learners section, click Create session.
    • If the button is not available, make sure your path has at least 1 step.

Creating a path session automatically makes you its main instructor.

You can then:

Sessions appear on the path homepage sorted by status (ongoing sessions first), then by start date (oldest first).

When a learner has access to multiple sessions of the same path, clicking the path directs them to the most relevant one:

  • Active sessions: The learner is directed to the session that started most recently.
  • Closed sessions: If no sessions are active, the learner is directed to the session with the most recent end date.
  • Future sessions: If no sessions are active or closed, the learner is directed to the session with the oldest start date.
