Any user except those with a learner-only role can ask questions to the AI companion to get data about a specific path or course.
- At the top of the page, on the right of the search bar, click the
circle icon.
- In the right panel, type your question about a specific path or course and press enter.
Questions you can ask
Use the AI Companion to find aggregated data (totals and averages) for a specific training item.
For a specific path
You can get general analytics or break them down by group, step, user custom field, or session.
- General analytics (score, average completion rate, median completion time, status counts, and percentages): "What is the completion rate of the path [path name]?" or _"How many learners are on time for the path [_path name]?", or _"What is the median completion time for the path [_path name]?"
- Results for the path broken down by step (score, average completion rate, average time spent): "What are the average scores by step for the path [path name]"
- Results for a specific step (score, average completion rate, and average time spent): "What is the average score for the step [step name] in the path [path name]?" or "How much time was spent on [step name] in the path [path name]?"
- Results for the path broken down by user custom field: "What is the completion rate for the path [path name] for each value of [user custom field name]?"
- Results for a specific user custom field: "What is the completion rate for the path [path name] for users with 'France' in the 'Country' custom field?"
- Results for a specific session: "What is the average score for [session name] in the path [path name]?"
- Results for a specific group: "What is the completion rate for the path [path name] for the group [group name]?"
For a specific course
You can get general analytics or break them down by group:
- General analytics (average time spent, completion count, completion rate, total attempts, unique user count): "What is the average time users spent on the course [course name]?" or "How many users completed the course [course name]?"
- Results for a specific group: "What's the completion rate on the course [course name] for the group [group name]?"
Scope and limitations
Users can send up to 100 messages per day to the AI Companion.
Every input you send counts as one message, no matter the length or content (for example, “hello,” “yes,” or “How many learners completed the path?”).
The limit resets at 12:00 AM Coordinated Universal Time (UTC).
The AI Companion is designed for high-level summaries. While you can ask any question, it cannot answer the following:
- Individual learners: Questions about a specific person (for example, "Did Alix finish the training?").
- Comparisons: Requests to rank or compare multiple items (for example, "Give me the top 10 paths").
- Subjective advice: Requests for an opinion (for example, "Is this completion rate good?").
- Specific course breakdowns: Course data segmented by language, custom fields, activities, or groups.
- Specific path breakdowns: Path data segmented by user status, enrollment status, enrollment type, groups, or sessions.
