Manage the email notifications you receive from your platform

Each user can manage how and when they receive email notifications from the platform.

Notification settings may be preconfigured by your platform admins. If you change a notification setting in your personal settings, your choice overrides the platform default for that notification. Future changes to platform defaults will not affect notifications you have already customized.

Enable a specific email notification

If you don’t receive important platform notifications (for instance: session invitations), check that the email notification is enabled in your profile.

  1. At the top right, click your user icon.
  2. Select Personal settings.
  3. On the top right, click the Notifications tab.
  4. Toggle the notification on.

Disable a specific email notification

You can disable a specific email notification.

  1. At the top right, click your user icon.
  2. Select Personal settings.
  3. On the top right, click the Notifications tab.
  4. Click the title of a subsection to expand it.
  5. Toggle the notification off.

Email notifications include footer links that allow you to:

  • Unsubscribe from similar notifications
  • Unsubscribe from all optional email notifications.

These actions do not affect mandatory platform notifications ↗

Mute all optional email notifications

You can disable all optional platform email notifications.

  1. At the top right, click your user icon.
  2. Select Personal settings.
  3. On the top right, click the Notifications tab.
  4. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click Mute all notifications.

Some email notifications are mandatory and will continue to be sent (the full list is in our notification database ↗).

Unmute all email notifications

You can unmute all email notifications to restore notifications that were blocked by the Mute all notifications action. This does not automatically enable notifications that were previously disabled individually. To enable notifications that are off, see Enable a specific email notification above.

  1. At the top right, click your user icon.
  2. Select Personal settings.
  3. On the top right, click the Notifications tab.
  4. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click Unmute all notifications.
