Activate auto-login links

  • Updated

Platform admins can activate auto-login links. Users who click on a link in a platform email are then logged in directly, without entering their password. This setting is off by default.

Auto-login links skip multi-factor authentication and forced SSO. Anyone who clicks on the link is logged in as the recipient, including someone the email was forwarded to. The IP filter still applies.

  1. In the left sidebar, hover over the platform group (the one with a golden crown), then click gear.svg Settings.
  2. In the left sidebar, click Advanced.
  3. In the Access & Security section, select Activate links with an authentication code in the emails; users won't need to enter their passwords.

Links in platform emails now log users in and open the linked page. On a phone, they open the 360Learning app.

Each link works for 30 days and can be used several times. It stops working if the user changes their password or is deactivated. Logging out doesn't stop it from working.

To deactivate auto-login links, clear the same checkbox. Email links then open the login page. After logging in, users go to the linked page.
