Admins and coaches of the path session's owner group, the session instructors, and admins of the path's owner group can register learners in a classroom slot of the session. Platform admins can do this in any path session.
Learners must be enrolled in the path session before they can be registered in one of its slots. A learner can be registered in only one slot of each classroom.
You often don't need to register learners yourself. When you enroll learners, they are registered in a slot automatically, unless automatic registration is off. Learners who enroll themselves from the catalog choose their slot, and learners can switch to another slot, unless self registration is off.
Register learners in a slot
Learners who are enrolled in the path session but not registered in any slot are counted in N users needing slot registration, below the classroom. For example, learners enrolled before the slot was created, or while automatic registration was off. Learners who missed their slot also appear there. You can register them in another one.
Only users with an active account can be registered in a classroom slot. An account is active once an invited user logs in to the platform for the first time, or when it is created directly. See Add users to the platform.
- At the top of the homepage, click Paths.
- On the right of a path, click
Ā Edit.
- Below the title of the classroom, click N users needing slot registration.
- Select the learners, then at the bottom right, click Confirm.
- Choose a classroom slot.
- At the bottom right, click Confirm.
Registered learners receive an invitation email, in addition to the email about their enrollment in the path session. The invitation asks them whether they are going. See See which learners are going to a slot.
They then receive a reminder email before the slot starts, unless they answered that they are not going:
Unregister learners from a slot
- At the top of the homepage, click Paths.
- On the right of a path, click
Ā Edit.
- On the right of the date of a classroom slot, click

Unregistered learners move to the list of unregistered users, at the bottom left of the classroom slots. They receive an email telling them that their registration was removed.
Move a learner to another slot
Unregister the learner from their current slot first, then register them in the new one. A learner can be registered in only one slot of each classroom.

Accept or reject learners on a waitlist
When a slot is full and its waitlist is enabled, learners can join its waitlist from the path page instead of registering. A waitlist holds up to 500 learners. You then accept or reject each request.
- At the top of the homepage, click Classrooms.
- On the right side of a classroom slot, click
Ā Go to slot.
- At the bottom of the screen, click Review request.
- Click N learners in waitlist.
- On the right of a learner, click
Ā to accept their request, or
Ā to reject it.
Accepting a request registers the learner in the slot. Learners receive an email whether their request is accepted or rejected.
See which learners are going to a slot
The invitation email asks learners Going?, with YES and NO buttons. Learners can also answer from the path page. Their answer appears in the RSVP Status column of the slot:
- Accepted: the learner answered that they are going.
- Declined: the learner answered that they are not going. They don't receive the reminder email, and an email warns the slot's trainers.
- No Response: the learner has not answered yet.
When a learner answers NO, from the platform, the invitation email, or a synced Outlook or Google Calendar event, an email is sent to:
- The trainers of the slot.
- If the slot has no trainers, the user who created its virtual meeting link.
- Otherwise, the user who created the slot.
Answering NO doesn't unregister the learner. To free their seat, unregister them.
When you change the date or time of a slot, the answers of learners who said they are going are cleared. They need to answer again.
Trainers of the slot, and users who can see the statistics of the path session, can see these answers.
- At the top of the homepage, click Paths.
- On the right of a path, click
Ā Edit.
- Scroll down to the classroom slot and click
Ā N learners.
