Edit the primary group in a learner's profile

Platform admins can select the primary group in a learner's profile.

If a learner is a member of multiple groups with different custom colors, you can select a primary group in their profile to apply the branding of a specific group to the pages that are not related to any group.

The colors of the primary group apply to the learner's:

The primary group is an optional setting. When the primary group is not set, the custom colors of the lowest private common ancestor group apply to the pages that are not related to any group.

Select the primary group in a learner's profile

  1. In the left sidebar, click on the platform group (the one with the golden crown).
  2. At the top of the page, click Users.
  3. Click on a user.
  4. In the Primary group section, click Select primary group.
  5. In the dialog box, select the group.
  6. Click Confirm.

Edit the primary group in the learner's profile

  1. In the left sidebar, click on the platform group (the one with the golden crown).
  2. At the top of the page, click Users.
  3. Click on a user.
  4. In the Primary group section, click pen.svg Edit.
  5. In the dialog box, select the new group.
  6. Click Confirm.

Delete the primary group in a learner's profile

  1. In the left sidebar, click on the platform group (the one with the golden crown).
  2. At the top of the page, click Users.
  3. Click on a user.
  4. In the Primary group section, click cross.svg Remove.

The primary group is removed. The branding of the lowest private common ancestor group applies by default to the pages that are not related to any group.
