You can manage the languages available on the homepage and group pages for the purpose of translating their configurable widgets. Standard, non-configurable sections of the homepage and group pages are displayed based on the user's platform language settings and do not require these steps.

In this article, you'll learn how to add and remove languages, as well as set the source and default languages for the configurable widgets. For instructions on translating the content within these specific widgets, please see the linked articles below:

The available languages for widget translation are identical to the platform languages.

Adding languages allows you to translate the configurable widgets for users who use those languages.

Without adding languages, standard sections of the page will appear in the user's platform language. Configurable sections (like carousels, galleries, and curated catalogs) will be shown in the language they were created in.

To add a new language to a homepage or group page:

  • If you can't access the page layout configuration panel as described in the first step, replace step 1 with:
    • For the homepage: At the top right of your homepage, click group-page-layout.svg Configure page layout.
    • For a group page: In the left sidebar, click on a group. Then, click  group-page-layout.svg Configure page layout at the top right of the main section.
  1. Access the page layout configuration panel:
    • For the homepage: In the left sidebar, click group-page-layout.svg Home page layout.

  4. Select the language you wish to add.
  5. At the top left of the panel, click chevron-left.svg Back to languages.
