Hide the newsfeed by default for all users

By default, the newsfeed is expanded on the homepage for all users.

Platform admins can change this setting to hide the newsfeed on the homepage by default for all users:

  1. In the left sidebar, click on the platform group (identified by a golden crown at the bottom right of its icon).
  2. At the top right of the main section, click settings.svg Settings.
  3. In the left sidebar, click Advanced.
  4. Select Hide the newsfeed by default on homepage for all users.

The default state setting determines how the newsfeed appears for all users initially.

  • If the newsfeed is hidden by default, users can manually expand it to view the content.
  • If the newsfeed is expanded by default, users can manually hide it.

Hide the newsfeed on your own platform

Each user can hide the newsfeed on their own homepage or group page:

  1. At the bottom left of the newsfeed, click sideWindowRight.svg Hide.

The platform remembers the user preference. When the user revisits the homepage or group pages, the newsfeed will appear according to their last interaction (hidden or expanded).

Expand the newsfeed on your own platform

Each user can expand the newsfeed on their own homepage or group page:

  1. At the bottom right of the homepage or group page, click sideWindowLeft.svg Expand.

The platform remembers the user preference. When the user revisits the homepage or group pages, the newsfeed will appear according to their last interaction (hidden or expanded).
