  • Updated

Who can use this feature?

  • Platform Administrators and Platform Owners can manage API keys.
  • Accessible only on the Web Application.

The 360Learning API allows you to connect your tools to our application, to exchange data. The full 360Learning API documentation is available here: https://api.360learning.com/

Add an API key

You can use the 360Learning API to automate several instructions related to users, groups, courses, and paths using API Keys that represent the required credentials.

  1. In the left sidebar, hover over the platform group, then click settings.svg Settings.
    • If settings.svg Settings doesn’t appear in your sidebar, click on the platform group first, then click settings.svg Settings in the top right of the main section.
  2. In the left sidebar, click API.
  3. On the bottom of the page, click Add API key.
  4. When prompted, enter a meaningful label for the API key, then click Create.
  5. Copy your API key somewhere safe.
You will only the API key once. We will not be able to retrieve it.
  6. Click Close.

Each platform is limited to 25 API keys.

Revoke an API key

If you think an API key has been compromised or if you do not use this API key anymore, you can revoke it.

Once an API key is revoked, any integration linked to this API key will stop working.

  1. In the left sidebar, hover over the platform group, then click settings.svg Settings.
    • If settings.svg Settings doesn’t appear in your sidebar, click on the platform group first, then click settings.svg Settings in the top right of the main section.
  2. In the left sidebar, click API.
  3. Click bin.svg Revoke in the same row as the key you want to delete.
  4. When prompted, click Yes, revoke.

Once an API key is revoked, it is permanently deleted. You will not be able to retrieve it.
