Consequences
Changing the parent of a group will have two main consequences for its members: changing the visibility, and changing the admins.
Visibility
The location of a group determines, for its members, who they can see and what messages they can see. Read more about what a group member can see, depending on the group privacy →
If you change the parent of a group (and therefore, its location), you may also change the list of its publicly connected groups.
Admins
Remember: admins of a group automatically have admin permissions on all groups below it.
If you change the parent of a group, some admins may gain access to that group, and some admins may lose access.
