Translate a curated catalog

This feature requires the Globalization solution. For more information, contact your Customer Success Partner (CSP).

Platform admins can translate curated catalog widgets on the homepage and group pages. Group admins can translate curated catalog widgets on their specific group page. This feature is only available on the web app.

Prerequisite: Ensure the target language is available on the homepage or group page.

To translate a widget, the language you need must be available on the homepage or the group page where the widget is located. To learn how to add a new language to a page, see Set up languages for widget translation (homepage and group pages).

You can translate the title of a curated catalog widget.

The content of the curated catalogs displays in the learner's profile language automatically if all the following conditions are met:

• The courses and paths in the group catalog are translated into the learner's profile language. For more information, see Translate a course and Translate a path.
• The tags added to the translated courses and paths in the group catalog are translated into the learner's profile language. For more information, see Translate a tag.

To translate the title of a curated catalog:

1. Access the page layout configuration panel:
   • For the homepage: In the left sidebar, click Home page layout.
     • If Home page layout doesn’t appear in your sidebar, click Configure page layout at the top right of your homepage.
   • For a group page: In the left sidebar, hover over a group, then click Configure page layout.
     • If Configure page layout doesn’t appear in your sidebar, click on the group first, then click Configure page layout at the top right of the main section.
2. In the Configure page layout panel on the right, hover over the curated catalog widget and click Edit.
3. At the top right, click Translate.
   A double panel opens, with the text in the source language on the left and the translation panel on the right.
4. Optional: If you added multiple languages to your group page, select the language at the top of the right panel.
5. In the right panel, translate the Widget title.
6. In the bottom-right corner, click Apply.
7. Click Close.

If the title of the curated catalog widget is available in the learner's profile language, it is displayed in that language. Otherwise, it's displayed in the default language.
