Platform admins can delete any group. Group admins can delete their group.
Consequences of deleting a group
Deleting a group will delete the following elements:
- All its subgroups
- Users who are not members of any other group
- Posts, comments, reactions, and likes published with the group’s (or one of its subgroups’) visibility
- Projects and learning needs owned by this group or one of its subgroups
- All statistics from the groups and its subgroups.
- Invitations if they are not linked to a group anymore
If members of the group are members of at least one other group, deleting the current group will not delete its users, nor their individual statistics.
Deleting a group may or may not unenroll users from sessions:
- If the group was enrolled in a session with a dynamic audience, the users from the group will be unenrolled from the session.
- If the group was enrolled in a session with a static audience, the users from the group will not be unenrolled from the session (they will be unenrolled at the next occurrence of saving the audience from the session, if they do not meet the enrollment criteria at that time).
- If the users of the group were enrolled in a session through another group, or individually, they will not be unenrolled.
