Synchronize users with the flat file user provisioning connector

  • Updated

Who can use this feature?

This feature requires the flat-file user provisioning connector, which is part of the Tech Services catalog and has a separate pricing.

Contact your Customer Success Partner (CSP) for more information.

This connector allows you to automatically import user data from flat files exported from your Human Resources Information System (HRIS) directly into 360Learning.

The connector uses Workato as a middleware orchestration system. It is highly configurable and provides the following features:

  • File filtering: The connector will only process files that match a specific naming convention. Any files that do not follow this naming rule will be ignored.
  • User identification/reconciliation: User matching between the 2 systems is guaranteed.
  • User standard fields: Define which columns from the flat file will automatically populate the user standard fields in 360Learning.
  • User custom fields: Define which columns from the flat file will automatically populate the user custom fields in 360Learning.
  • Filtering: Use filters to synchronize only a specific subset of your population, rather than the entire directory.
  • Group assignment: Define rules to automatically assign users to the correct groups within 360Learning.
  • Data standardization: This feature automatically transforms your CSV data to ensure it's in the correct format before it's integrated into 360Learning.
  • Notifications: You will be automatically notified if any issues or errors occur during the synchronization process.
  • File maintenance: After a file is processed, it is automatically archived. These archived files are then automatically deleted after a set period.
  • Reporting: For the full synchronization, a detailed report is sent to you by email.

This integration synchronizes only the users who have been created or modified since the last run. This delta management approach avoids processing your entire user base every time.
