When you engage with an OpenSesame course, your journey begins on the 360Learning platform, while the course content is played on OpenSesame, as outlined below.
For more information about how statistics are synchronized, see Track statistics for OpenSesame courses from your 360Learning platform.
Start an OpenSesame course
When you click START on the course homepage in the 360Learning web app:
- You are redirected to the OpenSesame platform, where you can play the course if you have the required permissions. Make sure to use the same email on both platforms.
- Your progress will be set to 50% on 360Learning. If you leave the course without finishing it, you can click RESUME in 360Learning to continue the course in OpenSesame.
- On your 360Learning homepage,Ā under the My work section, the course (or the path including the course) is moved to the Ongoing section.
- If the course is part of a path with a linear progression, you must complete the course in OpenSesame before proceeding to the next step in 360Learning. You may need to refresh the page after a few minutes to see the updated completion status.Ā
- If the course is the last step to be completed in a path, you must finish it in OpenSesame to mark the path as completed in 360Learning. You may need to refresh the page after a few minutes to see the updated completion status.
Complete an OpenSesame course
When you complete the course in OpenSesame:
- The course is marked as Completed in 360Learning in near real-time. You may need to refresh the page after a few minutes to see the updated completion status.
- If the course is not part of a path, the course is moved to the Completed section on your homepage.
- If the course is part of a path with linear progression, you may need to refresh the page to access the next step in the path. The statistics update happens in near real-time, but there could be a slight delay.
- If the course is the last step to be completed in a path, you may need to refresh the page after a few minutes to complete the path. On your homepage, the path is then moved to the Completed section.
Retake an already completed OpenSesame course
For compliance or knowledge refreshers, you may be prompted to regularly retake an already completed OpenSesame course. To ensure your retake counts and meets compliance requirements, start the course from 360Learning when you are re-enrolled.
Launching the course directly on OpenSesame won't count as a new attempt (a new try), and your new completion won't be recorded in 360Learning.
