A group page is composed of sections called widgets. You can add, delete, reorder, and configure the widgets.

For more details on each widget, see the list of widgets.

Make a widget available to all groups

To make a widget available to all groups, platform admins must add the widget to the page layout of the platform group:

  1. In the left sidebar, click on the platform group (with the golden crown at the bottom right of its icon).
  2. At the top right of the main section, click group-page-layout.svg Page Layout.
  3. In the right-side panel, click ADD WIDGET.
  4. Select the widget you'd like to make available to all groups. If you select Carousel, Custom training section, or Gallery, you can either:
    • Click NEXT at the bottom of the right-side panel to configure the content of the widget for the platform group.
    • Skip the widget configuration and go directly to step 5. The widget will remain hidden on the page of the platform group, but it will be available to all groups. Group admins can then configure the widget on each group page.
  5. At the top of the right-side panel, click Vector.svg.
  6. Optional: To add another widget, repeat steps 3 to 5.
  7. At the bottom of the right-side panel, click APPLY.

The widget is now:

  • Available to all groups.
  • Added to the layout of all groups, except groups with a saved page layout.

Group admins can see, add, delete, reorder, and configure the widget on their group page.

With the Customization solution, group admins can always see, add, delete, reorder, and configure all the widgets — even if the widgets aren't made available by the platform admin.

Add a widget to a group page

On the platform group, platform admins can add any widget. The widgets added to the platform group are automatically:

  • Available to all groups.
  • Added to the layout of all groups, except groups with a saved page layout.

On a group page, group admins can only add widgets that are made available by the platform admin. The layout of the group page is not replicated in subgroups.

With the Customization solution, group admins can add any widget. The layout is replicated in subgroups, until it reaches a group with a saved layout.

To add a widget to the layout of a group page:

  1. In the left sidebar, click on a group.
  2. At the top right of the main section, click group-page-layout.svg Page Layout.
  3. In the right-side panel, click ADD WIDGET.
  4. Select the widget you'd like to add. If you select Carousel, Custom training section, or Gallery, you can either:
  5. At the top of the right-side panel, click Vector.svg.
  6. Optional: To add another widget, repeat steps 3 to 5.
  7. At the bottom of the right-side panel, click APPLY.

The new widget is added to the page layout. You can reorder the widget in the layout.

The custom training section is the only widget you can add multiple times in the page layout.

Configure a widget in a group page

You can configure the content and schedule the display of the following widgets on each group page:

The content of configurable widgets is only displayed on the group page where the widgets are configured. The content is not replicated in subgroups.

Delete a widget from a group page

On the platform group, platform admins can delete any widget. The deleted widget is automatically removed from all groups. For example, if a group page has a carousel, and the platform admin deletes the carousel widget from the page layout of the platform group, the carousel is removed from all group pages.

On a group page, group admins can only see and delete widgets that are made available to all groups by the platform admin. The layout of the group page is not replicated in subgroups.

With the Customization solution:

  • If the platform admin deletes a widget on the platform group, the deleted widget is removed from all groups, except groups with a saved page layout and its subgroups.
  • Group admins can delete any widget on their group page. The layout is replicated in subgroups until it reaches a group with a saved page layout.

To delete a widget:

  1. In the left sidebar, click on a group.
  2. At the top right of the main section, click group-page-layout.svg Page Layout.
  3. In the right-side panel, click bin.svg Delete at the right of the widget you'd like to delete.
  4. In the dialog box, click REMOVE.
  5. At the bottom of the right-side panel, click APPLY.

Reorder widgets in a group page

On the platform group, the platform admin can reorder any widget. The layout applies to all groups, except groups with a saved page layout.

On a group page, group admins can only see and reorder the widgets made available by the platform admin. The layout of the group page is not replicated in subgroups.

With the Customization solution, group admins can see, add, delete, and reorder any widget.

To reorder a widget in the group page layout:

  1. In the left sidebar, click on a group.
  2. At the top right of the main section, click group-page-layout.svg Page Layout.
  3. In the right-side panel, click grip.svg on the left of a widget to drag and drop it up or down.
  4. Click APPLY.
