Activate external content display on the homepage

Platform admins can control whether content from third-party providers appears on the homepage layout configuration panel. This setting impacts the External courses widget.

For the External courses widget to display on the homepage, 2 conditions must be met:

  1. You must activate the external content display on the homepage (steps described below).
  2. You must add the External courses widget to the homepage layout. For instructions, see Configure the layout of the homepage.

Activate external content display on the homepage

Follow these steps to enable the display of third-party content. 

  1. In the left sidebar, click on the platform group.
  2. On the top right, click gear cog.svg Settings.
  3. In the left sidebar, click Catalog.
  4. On the left of the title Catalog, make sure the box is selected.
  5. Select the Display the section(s) from third-party content providers checkbox.

Once activated, a platform admin can add the External courses widget to the homepage layout.

Deactivate the display of external content on the homepage

To hide the External courses widget from the homepage, unselect its display option:

  1. In the left sidebar, click on the platform group.
  2. On the top right, click gear cog.svg Settings.
  3. In the left sidebar, click Catalog.
  4. Unselect the Display the section(s) from third-party content providers checkbox.
