Admins, editors, and contributors can customize certificates in paths.

Customize a certificate
While customizing a certificate, you will see your changes happen in realtime in a live mini-preview of the certificate at the top right of your screen. Clicking Preview full certificate will expand the preview.
You can customize the following fields:
- Owner group: only administrators and editors of the selected group can see, edit, and delete the certificate (this includes administrators of higher-level parent groups, by inheritance).
- Title (mandatory): max 55 characters.
- Subtitle: max 100 characters.

Certificate details (Mandatory): max 12 lines, 130 characters per line. While filling this field out, pay attention to the live preview of the certificate to ensure that the formatting is accurate.

person_first_nametag will display the recipients first name when their certificate is generated.

Background image: recommended size: 1500x1050 pixels, and no text in the background image to avoid overlap between your visuals and the text of the certificate. Click on the image to upload a new one.
- Use PNG or JPEG format. WEBP images appear correctly in the preview but will be invisible in the certificate learners receive.

Top Logo: recommended size: 250x250 pixels. If you have a Custom logo in your platform, that will be automatically populated into the Top logo field.

Validity period: when enabled, enter a number of months (positive integer) to define when the certificate expires.
- Edit text allows you to customize the message displaying the validity period on the certificate.
- Deactivating the validity period for a certificate will remove it for future certificates. Certificates issued before deactivating the validity period will keep the expiration date.

Reference number: When enabled, a unique ID number is generated and added to the certificate.

Authenticity verification URL: When enabled adds a line that contains a URL to the original certificate.

Click PREVIEW at the top right to view the appearance of the certificate. In the preview:
- The
##########next to Reference Number will be replaced by the actual unique number when a certificate is generated. - The
#will be replaced by the actual URL where certified learners can find the certificate.
