Add skills to a path

This feature requires the Skills solution. For more information, contact your Customer Success Partner (CSP).

Admins, editors, and contributors can add skills to a path.

Activate AI to automatically add skills to a path

Contact your Client Success Partner (CSP) to activate AI to automatically add skills to paths.

When this is activated, skills are automatically added to paths based on the path title and description. Admins, editors, and contributors can then define the level for the skill on that path.

Changing the path title or path description updates the list of skills added by AI.

Skills added by AI (and that do not have a level) are indicated  by the icon.

Add skills manually to a path

Admins, editors, and contributors can manually add skills to a path (you can also add skills to a course →). The list of available skills is defined by admins.

Adding skills to a path will add it to the list of recommended training for that skill.

1. At the top of the homepage, click Paths.
2. On the right of the path row, click Edit.
3. In the section Skills, click + Add a skill.
4. Browse the library or search for a skill.
5. On the right of the skill, click Add.
6. In the section Skills, hover over a skill, then click Edit.
7. Select a level.
8. On the bottom right, click Apply.

Users will see the skills associated to the path in the homepage of the path, along with its level if it has one.

Although platform admins can also add skills to paths from the same interface where they would create skills, we recommend not to do that, and only adding skills to paths from the path edition screen. This will ensure everyone sees the same list of skills.

Edit the level of a skill in a path

Admins, editors, and contributors can edit the level of a skill in a path.

1. At the top of the homepage, click Paths.
2. On the right of the path row, click Edit.
3. In the section Skills, hover over a skill, then click Edit.
4. Select a level.
5. On the bottom right, click Apply.

Skills added by AI have no level by default, and have the icon on the left of their name. Once an admin, an editor or a contributor selects a level, the icon disappears.

Remove a skill from a path

Admins, editors, and contributors can remove skills from a path.

If you remove a skill added by AI, that skill will not be added to the path anymore.

Skills with the icon were automatically added by AI. If you remove a skill added by AI, it will remember your choice, and will not add it again to the path.

1. At the top of the homepage, click Path.
2. On the right of the path row, click Edit.
3. In the section Skills, hover over a skill, then click Remove.
