Activate automatic skill tagging

  • Updated

This feature requires the Skills solution. For more information, contact your Customer Success Partner (CSP).

Platform admins can activate or deactivate automatic skill tagging, which uses AI to add skills to courses and paths based on their title and description.

By default, automatic skill tagging is deactivated.

Automatic skill tagging is incremental: it does not remove skills already added to a course or a path. When deactivated, skills already added by automatic tagging remain on the content.

This applies to internal and external courses, and paths.

Activate automatic skill tagging

  1. In the left sidebar, hover over the platform group (with a golden crown), then click gear.svg Settings.
    • If settings.svg Settings doesn’t appear in your sidebar, click on the platform group first, then click settings.svg Settings in the top right of the main section.
  2. In the left sidebar, click Skills.
  3. On the right of the section Enable AI skill tagging, enable the option.

Skills are automatically added to courses and paths whenever new content is created, or when a title or description is updated. Admins, editors, and contributors can then define the level for the skill added by AI.

Deactivate automatic skill tagging

  3. On the right of the section Enable AI skill tagging, disable the option.

Skills already added by automatic tagging remain on courses and paths.
