Who can use this feature?
|
The Udemy integration synchronizes learner statistics from Udemy to 360Learning, enabling you to track course progress and completion directly within 360Learning.
While this allows you to use 360Learning features like custom reports and dashboards, as you would with any other course, the statistics for Udemy courses and public learning paths behave differently due to the specific data provided by Udemy.
This article explains how the statistics synchronization works and highlights the specific behaviors involved when tracking Udemy courses from 360Learning.
Learners must use the same email on both platforms for their statistics to synchronize from Udemy to 360Learning.
Statistics behavior upon course start
A course attempt is created in 360Learning each time:
- A learner clicks START on a Udemy course from any 360Learning entry point, such as a group catalog or a path session.
- A learner starts a course directly on Udemy without attempting in 360Learning, using the same email on both platforms.
Upon launching the course from 360Learning:
- The attempt remains open.
- Initial progress is set to 1%.
-
Due to connector updates, you might notice some differences in data for Udemy courses and learning paths launched before March 19th, 2025.
-
Before March 19th, 2025:
- Udemy courses launched from 360Learning were automatically marked as completed with 0% progress.
-
After March 19th, 2026:
- Udemy courses launched from 360Learning are no longer marked as completed upon launch. The attempt remains open with initial progress set to 1%.
-
Impact of this update on courses started before March 19th, 2025:
- If a learner started a course on 360Learning before March 19th and does not continue progressing in Udemy afterward, the course might still show as Completed in 360Learning with 0% progress.
- If they continue progressing in Udemy after March 19th, their progress and completion status will be updated accordingly.

Statistics behavior upon progress and completion
The timing of progress and completion updates in 360Learning depends on whether webhooks are enabled on your Udemy platform:
- If webhooks are not enabled (default): Statistics are synchronized from Udemy twice daily.
- If webhooks are enabled: Statistics are synchronized to 360Learning in near real-time.
Near real-time data synchronization involves a slight delay, typically in seconds or minutes, depending on network latency and processing constraints. Users may need to refresh the page after a few minutes to see the updated statistics.
The following updates occur in 360Learning when a learner completes a course on Udemy:
- Progress: Set to 100% upon course completion.
- Completion date and time: Displayed under the Last activity column in the 360Learning course dashboard.
- Time spent: Reflects the minutes of video content the learner has consumed.
Results and scores are not available.
