Admins, editors, contributors, the path main author and co-authors can add certificates to a path.
This article concerns certificates in paths, which learners can earn when they successfully complete a path session. If you’re looking for certificates of completion (OPCO), which are essentially timesheets, see Download certification of completion reports. To learn about the available customization options, see Customize a certificate.

Conditions for receiving a certificate
Certificates are awarded at the end of a path. Learners receive the certificate when all mandatory steps in the path are successfully completed. This includes any sub-paths: if the path contains a sub-path, it must be fully completed too.
In the following cases, the learner will not receive the certificate:
- The learner did not reach the minimum score in a mandatory step
- The learner is marked as attended on a classroom slot after the session’s end date
- The certificate is added to the session after the session’s end date (you can workaround this by creating a session with no mandatory replay, and enroll learners)
