Edit course equivalencies

  • Updated

Admins can edit an equivalency pool, if their group owns all the courses in that pool.

If some courses in the pool are not owned by their group, they will see them as "Private courses", and will not be able to add or remove courses from that pool, or rename the pool.

Add a course to an equivalency pool

Adding a course to an equivalency pool will change the completion rate of all users who completed one of the other courses in that pool, from 0% to 100%. Those users will also see that course as Waived in the homepage of the paths that contain it.

  1. At the top of the homepage, click Equivalencies (you may have to click Show more, on the right of the chips).
  2. On the top right of an equivalency pool, click +.
  3. Select courses.
    • If you’re a platform admin, you can see all courses. If you’re a group admin, you can only see courses of which you’re a main author or co-author, courses owned by your group, courses in your catalog or library, and courses in paths you can see.
    • Courses can only belong to one equivalency pool. Selecting a course that already belongs to an equivalency pool (the name of the current pool is displayed below the course name) will move it to the new pool.
    • You cannot select courses belonging to an equivalency pool that you cannot edit.
    • You can select up to 10 courses.
  4. On the bottom right, click Add courses.
  5. On the bottom right, click Confirm.

You can also remove a course by clicking bin.svg Delete on the right of its name, in an equivalency pool.

Remove a course from an equivalency pool

Removing a course from the equivalency pool will change the completion rate of users on that course if they had waived it by playing an equivalent course, from 100% to 0%.

  1. At the top of the homepage, click Equivalencies (you may have to click Show more, on the right of the chips).
  2. On the right of an equivalency pool, click the down chevron to expand it.
  3. On the right of a course name, click bin.svg Delete.
  4. On the bottom right, click Remove.

Removing the last course from an equivalency pool will also delete the equivalency pool.

Rename an equivalency pool

Admins can rename an equivalency pool, if they see all the courses in that pool.

  1. At the top of the homepage, click Equivalencies (you may have to click Show more, on the right of the chips).
  2. On the top right of an equivalency pool, click … → Rename the pool.
  3. Enter the new name.
  4. On the bottom right, click Confirm.
