Starting July 2, 2025, platform admins can add galleries to the homepage!
Galleries are ideal for categorizing content and enhancing the navigation experience. With this update, platform admins can structure content on the homepage in a clear, attractive, and user-friendly way.
Activation timeline
- The new homepage gallery will be automatically activated on your platform on July 2, 2025.
- However, it's available on demand in both staging and production environments starting May 21. If you'd like to preview the changes or get early access to this feature, contact your Customer Success Partner (CSP), and we'll activate it for you early!
What’s changing for galleries on group pages?
To support this improvement, we’ve also redesigned galleries on group pages to ensure visual consistency across your platform. Here's what's changed:
-
Multi-row support:
Previously, galleries supported 1 single row with up to 3 image blocks. With this update, you can now add more than 3 blocks. Each row will still support up to 3 blocks, and the gallery will automatically arrange any additional blocks into new rows. -
Uniform block dimensions:
No matter how many blocks are in a row (1, 2, or 3), each block maintains a consistent, uniform size. This improves layout aesthetics and keeps things visually aligned across different sections.
⚠️ Action may be required for galleries with fewer than 3 blocks
If you're currently using the gallery on a group page to display only 1 or 2 blocks, please note the following:
- The updated layout no longer stretches blocks to fill the full screen width.
- This means detailed images or text embedded in the image may be less legible due to the reduced size.
We recommend that you either:
- Update the image to match the new dimensions and scaling (800 x 300 pixels).
- Switch to a carousel, which is better suited for full-width single-image presentations.
