Translate a carousel

Who can use this feature?

  • Platform admins can translate carousels on the homepage and group pages.
  • Group admins can translate carousels on their specific group page.
  • This feature requires the Globalization Solution. Contact your Customer Success Partner (CSP) to learn more.
  • Accessible only on the Web Application.

Prerequisite: Ensure the target language is available on the homepage or group page.

To translate a carousel, the language you need must be available on the homepage or the group page where the carousel is located. To learn how to add a new language to a page, see Set up languages for widget translation (homepage and group pages).

You can translate every text field of the carousel slides and select a different slide image for each language.

  1. Go to the homepage (click home.svg Home in the left sidebar) or the group page (click the group name in the left sidebar) containing the carousel.
  2. At the top right of the main section, click group-page-layout.svgĀ Page Layout.
  3. In theĀ Page layoutĀ panel, selectĀ Carousel.Ā 
  4. Select the slide you want to translate.
  5. At the top right, click translation.svg.
    A double panel opens, with the text in the source language on the left and the translation panel on the right.
  6. Optional: If you added multiple languages to your page, select the language at the top of the right panel.
  7. In the right panel, translate every text field.
  8. At the top right of the image, click pen.svg to select a different image for the new language.
  9. At the bottom of the right panel, clickĀ Apply.
  10. Optional: To translate another slide, click arrowLeft.svg at the top left of the double panel and repeat steps 4 to 9.
  11. ClickĀ Close.

If the slides are available in the learner's profile language, the page will display them in that language. Otherwise, they are displayed in the default language.
