Translate a custom training section

  • Updated

Who can use this feature?

  • Platform and group admins can translate custom training sections on group pages.
  • This feature requires the Globalization Solution. Contact your Customer Success Partner (CSP) to learn more.
  • Accessible only on the Web Application.

Prerequisite: Ensure the target language is available on the group page.

To translate the title of a custom training section, the language you need must be available on the group page where the section is located. To learn how to add a new language to a page, see Set up languages for widget translation (home and group pages).

You can translate the titles of the custom training sections. The content of the custom training sections displays in the learner's profile language automatically if all the following conditions are met:

  • The courses and paths in the group catalog are translated into the learner's profile language. For more information, see Translate a course and Translate a path.
  • The tags added to the translated courses and paths in the group catalog are translated into the learner's profile language. For more information, see Translate a tag.

To translate the title of a custom training section:

  1. In the left sidebar, click a group.
  2. At the top right of the main section, click group-page-layout.svgĀ Page Layout.
  3. In theĀ Page layoutĀ panel, select your custom training section.
  4. At the top right, click translation.svgĀ .
A double panel opens, with the text in the source language on the left and the translation panel on the right.
  5. Optional: If you added multiple languages to your group page, select the language at the top of the right panel.
  6. In the right panel, translate the Widget title.
  7. At the bottom of the right panel, clickĀ Apply.
  8. ClickĀ Close.

If the custom training section titles are available in the learner's profile language, they are displayed in that language. Otherwise, they are displayed in the default language.
