Translate a gallery

  • Updated

Who can use this feature?

  • Platform and group admins can translate galleries on group pages.
  • This feature requires the Globalization Solution. Contact your Customer Success Partner (CSP) to learn more.
  • Accessible only on the Web Application.

Prerequisite: Ensure the target language is available on the group page.

To translate a gallery, the language you need must be available on the group page where the gallery is located. To learn how to add a new language to a page, see Set up languages for widget translation (home and group pages).

You can translate every text field of the gallery. You can also select a different block image for each language.

  1. In the left sidebar, click a group.
  2. At the top right of the main section, click group-page-layout.svgĀ Page Layout.
  3. In theĀ Page layoutĀ panel, select Gallery.
  4. Select the gallery block you wish to translate.
  5. At the top right, click translation.svgĀ .
A double panel opens, with the text in the source language on the left and the translation panel on the right.
  6. Optional: If you added multiple languages to your group page, select the language at the top of the right panel.
  7. In the right panel, translate every text field.
  8. At the top right of the image, click pen.svg to select a different image for the new language.
  9. At the bottom of the right panel, clickĀ Apply.
  10. Optional: To translate another gallery block, click arrowLeft.svg at the top left of the double panel and repeat steps 4 to 9.
  11. Click Close.

If the blocks are available in the learner's profile language, the group page will display them in that language. Otherwise, they are displayed in the default language.Ā
