Find out more about time zones

  • Updated

The date of a planned event is automatically adapted to the time zone of the user’s browser.

Here is the list of planned events in the platform:

  • Start and end date of a session;
  • Availability date of a course;
  • Mailing date of an Email block;
  • Start and end date of a Classroom block.

Definition of a user’s time zone

The time zone of a user in the plaform corresponds to the time zone of their web browser (itself being defined by the time zone on the user’s computer).

If the user logs in to their account with a computer using another time zone, the user’s time zone in the platform will automatically change to the new value.

In the mobile application, the time zone of the platform corresponds to the time zone of Android or iOS.

Creation of a planned event

When a user creates or edits a planned event, the date is defined based on the time zone of the user at the time of the action.

Notification emails display the date of a planned event according to the time zone of the recipient at the time when the email is sent. If the time zone cannot be determined, the date is displayed with an indication of the CET timezone.
