View the skills gap in jobs and careers

  • Updated

We’re currently activating skills on a per-platform basis. If you’re a platform admin and would like to use them, contact your Client Success Partner (CSP).

Who can use this feature?

  • All users can view the difference between the current and expected levels of all skills related to their job.
  • Admins can also view the difference for all users in their group.
  • Managers can view the difference for all their managees.

The skills gap spider chart helps visualize the difference between the level expected for the job (Expected level), and the most recent level assessed for the job (Current level). The way this chart is displayed depends on the number of skills libraries and skills associated with the job:

  • If the job is associated with 3 or more libraries:
    • The chart is displayed by Library (a collection of related skills).
    • To switch to displaying by skills, click Skills at the top left.
    • To filter and view specific libraries or skills, click slider.svg Filter at the top right.
  •  If the job is associated with 2 or fewer libraries and more than 2 skills in total:
    • The chart is displayed by Skills.
    • To filter and view specific skills in the spider chart, click slider.svg Filter at the top right.
  • If the job is associated with 2 or fewer skills in total, there is not enough data to display a skills gap chart for the job.
