Log in with Magic Link

  • Updated

Simplify logging in to multiple platforms with Magic Link.

Once enabled, users who have activated their account by creating their own password will have the option to login with Magic Link. When logging in with Magic Link, they will only need to enter an email address (with or without alias) and they will receive an email containing links to access all of their assigned platforms.

  • Email notifications for email aliases are sent to the inbox of the primary email address.
  • There is a limit on the number of aliases while using Magic Link. Users with more than 500+ aliases will not receive the Magic Link email.

Enable Magic Link

Platform administrators can enable this feature in the platform settings.

  1. In the left sidebar, click on the platform group (with the golden crown at the bottom right of its icon).
  2. At the top right of the main section, click settings.svg Settings.
  3. In the left sidebar, click Advanced.
  4. Under Access & Security, enable Activate login with Magic Link.

Once enabled, users will see a new option has appeared when logging into the platform: LOGIN WITH A MAGIC LINK.

With this option available, users will only need to enter their email address (with or without alias) then click LOGIN WITH A MAGIC LINK. Doing so will display a message telling them that they will receive an email with links to access all of their assigned platforms.

The user can then quickly access all of their assigned platforms from that message, by clicking on the associated platform link within that email.

Disable Magic Link

If you’ve customized the URL of your platform, you can force users to login with their email and password, and deactivate the magic link login method.

  1. In the left sidebar, click on the platform group (with the golden crown at the bottom right of its icon).
  2. At the top right of the main section, click settings.svg Settings.
  3. In the left sidebar, click Advanced.
  4. Under Access & Security, disable Activate login with Magic Link.

Following these steps will remove the LOGIN WITH A MAGIC LINK option from the login screen.
