Find out more about whitelisted video formats

Here are the whitelisted video formats: .wmv, .vob, .mts.mpg, .mpeg, .mkv, .m2ts, .flv, .3gp, .mp4, .webm, .mov, .m4v, .3gpp, .m2t, .avi

💡 If you can't upload your video, you can compress the file and upload the .zip archive.

Add a video from your computer

  1. On the left of the course editor, click the Document button
  2. Drag & drop a file in the window, or click Select a file

⚠️ You can add videos without size limit, but larger files will take longer to upload.

If the video size is greater than 400 MB, we suggest you divide it into several sections, or host it on an external platform (YouTube, Google Drive, Vimeo, etc.).

Add a hosted video

Add a YouTube video

You can add a YouTube video that is Public or Unlisted.

  1. On the left of the course editor, click the Document button
  2. In the field Paste a web link, enter the URL of the video

💡 You can add a Private YouTube video by copying its embed code, and pasting it in the field Paste an embed code.

Add a Vimeo video

You can add a Vimeo video that is visible by Anyone.

  1. On the left of the course editor, click the Document button
  2. In the field Paste a web link, enter the URL of the video

💡 To add a video visible to Only people with the private link (Plus + Pro + Business + Premium only), click on the button Share, and copy the embed code. Then paste the link in the field Paste an embed code.

💡 You can also restrict the video visibility so that it is only accessible through the 360Learning platform. In order to do that, enable domain-level privacy (add "360learning.com", and if applicable, your customized URL as well).

Add a Google Drive video

  1. From Google Drive, double-click on a video
  2. In the top-right corner, click on the 3 vertical dots, then click Open in a new window
  3. In the new tab, click again on the 3 vertical dots, then click Embed item
  4. Copy the full link
  5. Paste the link in the field Paste an embed code

Add a YouTube Live stream

You can enable YouTube Live streaming, by embedding the video on the platform

Add a 360° video

360° videos are an immersive type of media that lets your viewers enjoy a panoramic experience. Here's an example below:

Add a 360° video from your computer

The platform automatically detects your 360° video upon uploading it onto the platform. You don't have to do anything else. ✅

If you can't upload your video, here are 2 workarounds:

  • In your file explorer, rename the video by using "360_" at the beginning of the title file (for example, 360_My360Video.mp4), then re-upload the file.
  • You can also use a Google-based tool:

Add a hosted 360° video

You can import Web-based 360° videos just like regular videos.
