This feature requires the Globalization Solution. Contact your Account Manager to learn more.
Authors can make their paths available in other languages through the translation feature. The following elements of a path can be translated:
- Title of the path
- Description of the path
- Path sessions’ titles
- Email reminders
Before translating a path, ensure that the courses for the path are also translated. For more information on translating courses, click here.
The full workflow for making a path available in a new language is:
- Declare a new language
- Translate the path in the new language
- Make the path available to Learners in the new language
You may optionally assign translators, who will be in charge of translating the contents (but cannot change the structure of the path, or the original content).

Assign a translator to a language
The translator cannot edit the original contents of the path (unless they are also the author or a co-author of the path).
- At the top of the homepage, click Paths
- Find the path you would like to translate, then on the right side, click Edit
- At the top of the page, click Translate
- Under the Translators column, click
- Select the translator(s), then click off of the popup
Translators then receive an email inviting them to translate the path, with a button to open the translation interface directly. This email is the only way for translators to access the path; make sure their email notifications are enabled. If needed, you can send reminder emails.
To remove a translator from a language, follow the steps above and unselect the user on step 5.
Send a reminder email to the translators of a language
You can send a reminder to users who have a translator role on a language. This will instantly send the same email as the one that was sent when they were first added as translators.
- At the top of the homepage, click Paths
- On the right of the name of the path, click Edit
- At the top of the page, click Translate
- Under the Actions column, click
- Click Send notification email to translators
Translate the contents
As an Author, Co-author, or translator, you can also translate the contents of a path.
If you’ve been added as a translator, click the button TRANSLATE THIS PATH in the notification email you received to access the translation interface.
You can also access the translation interface by following these steps:
- At the top of the homepage, click Paths
- Find the path you would like to translate, then on the right side, click Edit
- At the top of the page, click Translate
The translation interface for paths is split into two tabs: Manage and Translate (the Translate tab will not be visible until at least one language has been added).
Under the Manage tab, you can add languages and assign translators to the path.
- Click ADD NEW, then select the language(s) you'd like to add
- Click ADD LANGUAGE(S)
- Assign the translator(s) to the language(s) added
Under the Translate tab, you can see the Reference content (in gray, which cannot be edited) on the left, and the Translated content (which you can edit) on the right.
From here, you can:
- Translate the title and description of the path
- Translate the steps within the path
- Translate the session title(s)
All changes are instantly saved when you click outside the text field.
If you want to make the language available to Learners directly after translating the contents, toggle on the Available option.
Make a language available to Learners
Once your path is translated, you can make that language available to Learners.
- At the top of the homepage, click Paths
- Find the path you would like to translate, then on the right side, click Edit
- At the top of the page, click Translate
- In the Manage tab, under the Available column, enable the language(s)
Learners will now be able to select the new language in the top bar, from the path homepage, or when they are playing the path.
If the path is available in the Learner’s profile language, it will be displayed in that language. Otherwise, it will be displayed in the default language assigned to the path.
You can remove the language from the list of available languages by following the steps above, and unchecking the box at step 4.
Delete a translated language
This will also delete all the translation content for the associated path.
- At the top of the homepage, click Paths
- On the right of the name of the path, click Edit
- At the top of the page, click Translate
- Next to the language you would like to delete, click
under the Actions column
- Click Delete
- Click CONFIRM
